"Just relax."

The problem is that telling someone who's already carrying so much pressure to simply relax, without offering any real support, often creates another thing to worry about.

Now you're anxious... about being anxious.

Your nervous system doesn't respond to pressure. It responds to experiences of safety, compassion, and support.

This week, I'm sharing two YouTube videos for women navigating the TTC journey:

🤍 The nervous system science behind why hope can feel so heavy.

🤍 A gentle 25-minute restorative yoga practice to help you reconnect with your body with kindness.

No outcomes to chase. Just a moment to be supported.

Moving countries isn't just a logistical change—it's a biological one.

When you relocate, your nervous system loses the familiar sensory cues it has quietly relied on for years. The sounds outside your window, the smell of the air, the route to the grocery store, even the quality of the light all help your brain decide whether you're safe.

When those cues disappear, many people experience a constant feeling of unease without understanding why.

You're not "bad at settling in."

Your nervous system is learning an entirely new map.

The beautiful part is that it can learn.

With repetition, familiarity, and gentle support, a new place can begin to feel like home.

If you're navigating life abroad, this week's YouTube video explores the science behind expat dysregulation and shares a 25-minute grounding yoga practice to help your body feel more at home—wherever you are.

Your nervous system doesn't know the difference between a real threat and a perceived one—it responds to what it believes is happening.

That's why overthinking can feel so exhausting.

When anxiety shows up, don't just try to change your thoughts. Give your body signals of safety first: a slow exhale to begin with

Sometimes, regulation begins in the body before it reaches the mind. 🤍

Subscribe to YUSR Yoga for gentle, evidence-informed practices that help you feel more grounded.

Sometimes emotional exhaustion doesn't feel like sadness.

It doesn't feel like anxiety.

It feels like "shutdown".

You still go to work.
You still answer messages.
You still show up.

But inside, everything feels distant.
Like you've gone quiet within yourself.

This isn't weakness.
It's often your nervous system's way of protecting you after carrying too much for too long.

The third week of the Calm Reset Pack is an invitation to pause—not to fix yourself, but to gently reconnect with yourself. 🤍

If you've been feeling emotionally numb or disconnected lately, this is for you.

Emotional exhaustion isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like functioning too well for too long.

From a conversation with counselling psychologist Apoorv Vikas.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone in it.

If you've ever felt guilty for resting, this is for you.

Emotional exhaustion doesn't always look like breaking down.

Sometimes it looks like constantly pushing through.
Feeling like you always need to be productive.
Lying down but never actually relaxing.
Sleeping enough, yet never feeling restored.

The nervous system doesn't measure how much you've done.

It measures how safe it feels to stop, to acknowledge and ask for help.

This week, I sat down with a counselling psychologist,Apoorv Vikas, for a conversation about emotional exhaustion, what are the signs and what healing actually looks like.

The full conversation is coming this Wednesday. I can't wait to share it with you.

🤍 If this resonated, save it for the days when resting feels hard, and share it with someone who has been carrying too much for too long.

Regulation isn't perfection.

It's returning.

To your breath.
To your body.
To yourself.

Again and again and again.

Anxiety isn't a thought problem.

It's your nervous system running a threat simulation of the future — trying to protect you from something it can't quite predict.

That's why you can understand your anxiety completely and still feel it in your body.

Because the nervous system doesn't respond to logic.
It responds to experience.

Week 2 of the Calm Reset Pack, *Anxiety: Future Safety*, is a 7-minute guided practice designed to help your body experience safety about what's ahead, not just think about it.

Through breath, grounding, and gentle somatic regulation, you'll learn to work with anxiety instead of fighting it.
