Whose Life Are You Really Living?
One of the greatest tragedies in life is not failure, it is spending years succeeding at a life that was never meant for you.
Many people move through life on autopilot, following paths shaped by expectations, traditions, societal pressures, family opinions, and the endless desire to be accepted. They choose careers to please others, make decisions to avoid criticism, and pursue goals that look impressive to people while leaving their own hearts empty.
The question is: Are you truly living the life God designed for you, or are you living a life built around earning the approval of others?
The need for validation can be so subtle that we hardly notice it. We become so accustomed to meeting expectations that we lose touch with our own purpose. Before long, we find ourselves exhausted, unfulfilled, and wondering why our achievements bring little satisfaction.
God did not create you to be a copy of someone else’s expectations. He created you with a unique purpose, a distinct calling, and a specific assignment. When your life is driven by the opinions of people, you may gain their applause but miss God’s intention.
Take a moment to sit with yourself. Be honest. Remove the noise, the pressure, and the voices that constantly tell you who you should be.
Ask yourself:
Am I making decisions based on conviction or on approval?
Am I pursuing God’s purpose or people’s expectations?
If no one were watching, would I still choose this path?
Does the life I’m living align with who God created me to be?
The answers may be uncomfortable, but they can also be life-changing.
At some point, every person must choose between living for acceptance and living for purpose. The freedom you seek often begins when you stop asking people for permission to become who God has called you to be.
So today, pause and reflect.
Whose life are you really living?
This is to your continuous growth and wellness
Good morning beautiful people ❤️
