Sometimes, you do not need a 30-step skincare routine. A simple, consistent routine can be just as effective.

Start with the essentials:

✨ A gentle cleanser
✨ A moisturiser suited to your skin
✨ Sunscreen every morning

Choose a sunscreen based on your skin type and remember to reapply it every 3–4 hours, especially when you are outdoors.

At night, remove all makeup thoroughly, cleanse your skin properly, and make sure no cleanser residue is left behind.

Healthy skin is not about using more products it is about using the right products consistently.

Should estradiol, progesterone and testosterone be mixed into one HRT cream?

Combining all three hormones in a single compounded cream can make it difficult to adjust each dose accurately or identify which hormone is causing side effects such as irregular bleeding, breast tenderness or weight changes.

The timing and route of each hormone also matter. Estradiol may be used in the morning, while micronised progesterone is usually taken at bedtime. For women with a uterus, adequate progesterone is essential for endometrial protection, and transdermal progesterone may not provide reliable absorption for this purpose.

A safer, more individualised approach is to start with low doses, introduce hormones separately or in appropriate combinations, and adjust each one according to symptoms, response and clinical need.

That is why it is important to work with a team like MenoMind that looks at the whole system, including vitamins, thyroid health, blood sugar and hormones, not just the surface.

Many women do not take heavy bleeding seriously, but when changes start showing on their skin, they become concerned. Your skin may be the visible sign, but the cause can be much deeper.

Mixing all your hormones together?

28/07/2026

When hormones are optimised, the skin may begin to feel firmer, smoother and more hydrated.

Hormonal support, particularly estrogen, can help support the skin’s natural collagen production, elasticity and overall appearance.

Some of my patients notice such a visible improvement in their skin that they feel confident wearing much less makeup use or none at all.

Healthy skin is not only about what you apply externally. Sometimes, the real change begins from within.

Results vary, and hormone therapy should always be individually assessed and medically supervised.

Vaginal dryness, repeated infections, UTIs, and skin flare-ups can sometimes happen together.

Even with a regular cycle, the body may still be dealing with shifts in hormones, immunity, blood sugar, stress, or the vaginal microbiome.

When dryness continues for months and infections keep coming back, it is not something to ignore or keep treating only with temporary fixes.

Your intimate health and skin health are connected through the same internal ecosystem.

This is why a proper medical evaluation matters, especially if symptoms have been ongoing for 7–8 months.

Save this reel and share it with someone who needs to stop normalising recurring discomfort.

Will HRT make me gain weight? 🧿

This is one of the most common concerns women have when starting hormone therapy.

But midlife weight gain is usually linked to changes in muscle mass, belly fat, insulin resistance, sleep, stress and activity levels not HRT alone.

Rather than focusing only on the weighing scale, look at:

• Fasting insulin, fasting glucose and HOMA-IR
• Muscle mass and body-fat percentage
• Protein and fibre intake
• Regular movement and strength training
• Around 150 minutes of exercise each week

Avoid starving yourself all day, only to struggle with cravings later. Your body needs adequate nutrition to build muscle, strength and better metabolic health.

🧿 Save and share this with someone worried about starting HRT.

Children don’t always lie because they want to be “bad.”

Sometimes, they lie because they are scared.

Scared of being shouted at.
Scared of being blamed.
Scared that if they tell the truth, love will feel unsafe for a moment.

When a child is left feeling lonely, unheard, or only corrected when they make a mistake, hiding becomes the easier option.

But when home and school become spaces where mistakes are allowed, children learn something different.

They learn to say, “I did it.”
They learn to say, “I’m upset.”
They learn to say, “I need help.”
They learn that honesty will not cost them connection.

And this matters because the way a child learns to express fear, anger, guilt, and disappointment often becomes the way they communicate in adult relationships too.

Hair fall in perimenopause is more common than many women realise.

One day your skin feels different.
The next, acne shows up unexpectedly.
Your hair starts shedding more than usual.
And suddenly you’re wondering, “What is happening to my body?”

These changes can be deeply confusing, but they are not random. Hormonal shifts during perimenopause can affect your hair, skin, scalp, acne, texture, and confidence.

If you know a friend, sister, or woman who is struggling with sudden hair fall, skin issues, or unexplained acne, share this with her.

More expert-led conversations on hair and skin health are coming soon.

Your skin often reflects what is happening inside your body.

During perimenopause, many women suddenly notice acne, dryness, pigmentation, slower healing or changes in their hair even when they never struggled with these concerns before.

Creams and medications may help manage the surface symptoms, but sometimes they are only a temporary fix. It is important to look deeper and understand whether hormonal changes are contributing to what you are seeing on your skin.

Dr Mehak Singh explains why these changes should not simply be dismissed as “adult acne.”
