Have you heard of the Yoga Sutras? These are 196 concise verses compiled by Patanjali over 2,000 years ago. They are considered the foundation of yoga philosophy.

Interesting fact: they are not really about physical postures.

They are about the .

How we think.
How we respond to challenges.
How we build discipline.
How we create habits.
How we live with greater awareness.

In many ways, the Yoga Sutras can be applied far beyond yoga.

One of the sutras that had a great impact on me:

स तु दीर्घकालनैरन्तर्यसत्कारासेवितो दृढभूमिः।
Sa tu dīrghakāla nairantarya satkāra āsevito dṛḍhabhūmiḥ

“Practice becomes firmly established when it is pursued for a long time, without interruption, and with sincerity and respect.”

Let’s break it down:

#दीर्घकाल (Dīrghakāla) - Over a long period of time

#नैरन्तर्य (Nairantarya) - Without interruption

#सत्कार (Satkāra) - With sincerity, respect and commitment

#आसेवितः (Āsevitaḥ) - Practised regularly

दृढभूमिः (Dṛḍhabhūmiḥ) - Firmly grounded

This sutra is one of the inspirations behind 15-Minute Arogya.

When I started thinking about the program, I was not trying to create another fitness challenge or wellness trend.

I was thinking about consistency.
Most people already know what they need to do for their health. The challenge is finding something that fits into real life and can be sustained over time.

15 minutes may not sound like much. But 15 minutes done regularly, over months and years, is far more valuable than a one-hour routine that is abandoned after a few weeks.

That is what this sutra reminds me of. Wellness is not built through occasional effort. It is built through small actions repeated consistently.

Not just in yoga. In health, work, relationships and almost every area of life.

I cannot believe it has been 10 years since I quit my corporate job! Back then, I had a clear vision of how I wanted my life to look. Not every detail unfolded exactly as planned, but the essence of it did. Today, my mornings often begin with 15 l-Minute Arogya sessions. A small commitment that helps people pause, move, breathe and start their day with intention.

Then I head to the office.
Somewhere between client meetings, planning wellness programs and building new ideas, I make time for my mastermind group and IBPC. They have become my third place, spaces where conversations spark learning, accountability and growth.
My work takes me into boardrooms and factory floors alike. One day I am conducting a corporate wellness session for senior leaders. The next, I am working with blue-collar teams, helping them understand simple practices that can make a meaningful difference to their health and wellbeing.
Every day looks different but every day is filled with movement, learning, people, purpose and wellness.
As International Yoga Day approaches, I am busy conducting session for the next three days. So, I find myself reflecting on one simple truth; Yoga was never just something I practiced. It became the foundation on which I built a life I genuinely enjoy living. Ten years later, my days are packed. Packed with work I love, with people I enjoy serving, with experiences that continue to teach me.
And for that, I am deeply grateful.

A testimonial so simply put by Paan Singh from Suja’s Kitchen.

I recently had the opportunity to conduct a wellness session with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage team, where we spent time laughing, moving and letting go of the day’s stress through Yoga, Breathework, Stretching and Laughter Yoga.

It was a truly enjoyable session for me but hearing feedback like this is what truly stays with me.

When someone shares that they felt lighter, happier after a session, it reminds me why this work matters.

Thank you, Paan Singh, and the entire Suja’s Kitchen team, for your energy, participation and openness.

I have observed adults being shy and hesitant to laugh out loud in almost all of my laughter yoga sessions. The reaction is remarkably consistent. They participate cautiously.
Many look around the room before fully joining in.
What are they checking for?
Approval?
Acceptance?
Whether everyone else is doing it too?

Well, children rarely do this. They laugh freely and wholeheartedly.

It’s us adults who often carry layers of self-consciousness.

This has made me reflect on an important aspect of wellness. Many people focus on fitness, nutrition, sleep and stress management. All of these definitely matter.
Yet there is another factor that influences our well-being every day: the effort we spend managing how we are perceived.
The need to appear composed.
The need to avoid looking foolish. The need to stay in control.

That constant vigilance can be exhausting. One reason laughter yoga works so well is that it gives people permission to let go of that stress.

And when the session progresses, they stop worrying about how they look, becoming more present and natural.

For me, that transformation is what wellness is about, feeling comfortable in your own skin.
After all, you do not need permission to laugh, to feel joy or to be merry.

Many names. Many roles. One purpose. 😊 People often ask me, “What exactly do you do?”

The answer is not just one thing!
Over the years, my passion for wellness has led me to wear many hats.

✨ Wellness Coach
🥗 Nutritionist
🧘 Yoga Teacher
🌿 Lifestyle Coach
💛 Holistic Life Coach

But the purpose has always remained the same: helping people build healthier, happier and more balanced lives whether it be at their workplace, in their community or even by themselves at home seeking ways to stay active and fit.
Through mindful eating, movement, breathwork, meditation, laughter, stress management or simple daily habits, my focus is on making wellness practical and sustainable.

Every role adds a new dimension to how I serve my community, but the mission stays unchanged:

Eat Right. Breathe Well. Stay Fit. Laugh Deep.

And while the titles may differ, the intention behind them is always the same, helping people feel better, live better and enjoy life more fully.

Which of these roles surprises you the most? Let me know in the comments. 😊
