¡Gracias por acompañarnos en este camino!

Okay, so by now you all know that we're taking care of our vet's parrot, Pepe. 🦜

Never in my life have I had a bird living inside my home.
This is a completely new experience for me.
For both of us.

I honestly thought parrots just sat on a perch looking pretty.
I couldn't have been more wrong!

Pepe has a personality all of his own.
His daily menu consists of bananas, red bell peppers, cucumbers, and apples. 🍌🫑🥒🍎

He’s curious about absolutely everything, loves to be part of whatever is going on, and especially when we are on phone calls,- he really likes to take part. 📞😂

Every time the phone rings or a call starts, he suddenly becomes very interested in the conversation and makes sure his presence is known!

He's playful, observant, and somehow manages to make us smile every single day.
And without anyone voting for him... he's somehow become the boss of the house! 😂

Every day brings a new adventure, and I'm quickly discovering that life with a parrot is never boring.
I have a feeling that while we're looking after Pepe... he's quietly teaching us a few things too. 💚🦜

Winter in Los Puestos, Tucumán... in Argentina, of course.

These past few days and nights have been incredibly cold. Freezing, actually.

We've been relying on our gas stove to keep our home warm, but we're grateful that someone recently helped us cut and organize the wood we have on the property.

Now we can use the wood to heat our home and save on gas - a small blessing that makes a big difference.

If you feel connected to our project and would like to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you.

Every helping hand makes a difference. ❤️

Sometimes a great dream begins with one small step ❤️

Fundación Lichak was born from a vision far greater than simply creating another organization.
It was created from a deep calling to build a place where compassion, healing, nature, animals, and human connection can exist together.

Our vision is to create a unique sanctuary in Tucumán, Argentina — a space dedicated to animal rescue and rehabilitation, the training of Diabetic Alert Dogs (DADs), environmental protection, conscious education, and emotional healing.

One of our main goals is the development and training of Diabetic Alert Dogs — specially trained service dogs capable of detecting dangerous blood sugar changes in people living with diabetes. These dogs can become life-saving companions, offering safety, support, independence, and emotional connection to the people who need them most.

At the same time, Fundación Lichak aims to create a rescue and rehabilitation center for vulnerable animals who have been abandoned, abused, neglected, injured, or forgotten. Many animals in our region have nowhere to go, no medical care, and no protection. Our future sanctuary is intended to provide veterinary support, rehabilitation, nourishment, safety, and long-term care for animals in need.

The project also includes the vision of creating a protected natural environment and educational space where people can reconnect with nature, compassion, awareness, and respect for life.

Right now, we are still in the early stages of building this dream.
We do not yet have the full facilities, veterinary station, rehabilitation center, or sanctuary land fully developed. This is exactly why your support matters so much.

Every donation helps us move one step closer toward:
• Building the rescue and rehabilitation center
• Developing the Diabetic Alert Dog program
• Creating veterinary and emergency care facilities
• Protecting vulnerable animals
• Expanding educational and healing initiatives
• Creating a safe and conscious sanctuary for future generations

This is not only about animals.
It is about creating a different way of living — one rooted in compassion, coexistence, healing, and conscious action.

If this vision speaks to your heart, we would be deeply grateful for your support and for sharing our mission with others.

Together, step by step, we can create something truly meaningful ❤️

Every life matters. Every rescue begins with YOU. 🐾

At Fundación Lichak, we are working every day in Tucumán to save animals, protect them, and build a safe place where they can finally live without fear.

But we can’t do it alone.

Right now, we are raising funds to purchase essential machinery that will allow us to clear land and build shelters, kennels, and a true sanctuary for animals in need.

This is not just a project…
It’s a lifeline.

💔 Abandoned animals are waiting.
💛 We have the vision.
🙏 We need your help to make it real.

Every donation - big or small - brings us one step closer to saving more lives.

Update for the pathway between our land and our new neighbor

Together with the Comuna Rural - Los Puestos

Slowly but surely our foundation is growing, expanding with knowledge and good people.

Yes its taking a very long time, but what is time when we have the rest of our lives to do good and save lives.

Almost every day, there’s something happening here on our farm.

Feeding the goats, taking the dog out, making sure the cat has food and fresh water… and now we also have a parrot.
No, he’s not ours, we’re just his foster parents until his mom takes him back home.

On top of that, we’ve been dealing with some neighbor issues.
Long story short, we now have a new fence on one side of our land.

Together with the Comuna Rural - Los Puestos we’re also fixing and building a walkway between both properties — ours and our neighbor’s on the left (when facing Route 9).

And let’s not forget the heavy rains lately… they’ve started to damage our bridge — the one that connects our entrance to the main road.

We’re currently waiting for the “Peaje” to take care of it… yes, they know. 🫩🙄
