Chiropractic and the mind-muscle connection.
Recent studies have indicated that a chiropractic adjustment can positively influence the communication between your brain and your muscles. It has been shown that following a chiropractic adjustment, there are changes at a cortical level (within the brain), affecting the muscles ability to fire-up. This is particularly interesting, as it suggests that after a chiropractic adjustment, a change occurs within the brain, not just at a spinal level.
This indicates that chiropractic care can be an effective tool in facilitating improvements to the mind-muscle connection, and as a result, human performance.
