I usually sit in silence however recent events have lead for me to write this post I am not one to complain. I always work hard to drive my passion and put everything into providing the support  to the people who need it.
I’ll work hard to help support people and keep them safe however recent changes to the NDIS are not helping me drive my passion.
The way they are cutting funding of vulnerable people that need their support to get through life is astonishing.
There has been people that have got their funding cut and they are not even aware of it. This tells me it is a system problem. I can’t just sit here and watch this happen without standing up and making a change.
I feel so bad for the NDIS people that are directed to cut funding back and then they call me and I have to explain that to them. Are you aware what you were doing? Are you aware this could lead to the example below?
As always, I’m willing to to discuss a solution however I can’t just sit here and watch people suffer.
There are other ways to make a change and not put people’s health at risk
As you see on my page, I highlight the wonderful things about my job however disability support is a very challenging and rewarding job but it comes with a lot of persistence, patience and challenging environments.
Some days the people I support can be fantastic and you’ll see the highlights in the community and on social media. however other days can be catastrophic. I have to bring all the skills I’ve learnt over my 13 year career to my job to keep people safe I love doing this. I love helping people however recent changes with the NDIS have put people’s lives in danger.
I urge everyone out there to share this so that the government see what’s happening and what could happen and yes I have made several complaints to the NDIS commission and NDIS however I have been told that this is a direction given by higher above so please Australian government take this seriously families are struggling out there. We do not want this situation to get worse.
