Now that I’m semi-retired, I finally have time to tackle some of the areas in my own home that have been quietly waiting for attention. 🌿
My home has always been clean, but between work, raising a family, business commitments and life in general, it became full.
And let’s be honest … unfortunately, a little cluttered too. 😂
There’s an important difference between a dirty home and a home that has simply accumulated years of belongings, paperwork and unfinished decisions.
In Feng Shui, clutter can make Qi sluggish. Instead of moving freely through the home, energy gets slowed down or obstructed.
When the Flying Stars in a home are balanced and Qi can reach and move through each area without obstruction, the home simply works better. It feels lighter, calmer and more supportive of the people living there.
I’ve already tackled my Helpful People area, and since then, I’ve been noticing the little moments of support appearing around me.
A cancellation suddenly created space for an appointment I needed.
A kind word brightened my day.
Friends dropped in for a cuppa.
Coincidence? Perhaps. But Feng Shui also teaches us to notice how our home and our lives begin responding to one another. Sometimes support arrives in very ordinary, and very lovely, ways.
Next on my list is the study.
More than 30 years of old business paperwork is hiding behind those beautiful doors. 🤦♀️ I don’t need to clear the entire room in one heroic burst.
One box.
One decision.
Fifteen minutes at a time.
Because the goal isn’t a perfect home.
It’s a home where Qi can move freely, the energy is balanced and life has room to flow. 🌿
What’s the one area in your home that has been quietly waiting for your attention?
Love, Jodie
