Blind husband throws these vessels and I get to decorate them. I handbuilt these Australian flannel flowers and added them to the vessel. This is a monochrome piece that I am entering into the monochrome art display at MIAC next month.

Working on parts of our Australian Flannel flower monochrome series. Adding the underglaze today these little pieces are now ready to go into the final fire 🔥

This is a new technique that I learnt from binge watching season 7 of The Great Pottery Throw Down. Scraffito is painting the vessel in glaze and and then mark making into the glaze and soft clay. Almost like etching. I then added some bright colour to make the etches pop. Once it is dry I will glaze it over with a clear gloss and fire 🔥
