Dragons Abreast Ballarat Dragons Abreast Ballarat is a team for everyone. With roots in breast cancer support, we bring people together for fun, fitness and friendship.

Grab a paddle, join us! Sat morning all year & Tues evenings over summer. We are members of Dragons Abreast Australia - breast cancer survivors and supporters, of various ages from a diverse range of backgrounds, sporting abilities and interests. High on our list of priorities is having fun, trying new things, meeting interesting people. If you want to:

Then Dragon Boating is the sport for YOU!!! We invite all breast cancer survivors and supporters to come and experience the magic that is part of our unique team - both on and off the water. Members include males and females over the age of 18 and we welcome non paddlers as well. We offer the option of competing in regattas when paddlers are ready for a challenge. Members have paddled in all States and territories and also internationally.

What an incredible achievement to compete alongside 4,500 paddlers from around the world.

There's nothing quite like the camaraderie of racing in a composite crew, meeting paddlers from other clubs, and sharing a great day on the water.

Saturday morning's dragon boating was a fun, with lots of race practice in preparation for the upcoming regatta season, and the ladies heading to France.
Everyone enjoyed getting on the water. The laughter and camaraderie made it feel effortless, showcasing how enjoyable teamwork can be when everyone supports each other.

Support doesn't just happen on the water.

Just some of the Ballarat Dragon Boat Paddling crew that swapped paddles for sheep, making the trip to the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo over the weekend to support Margaret and her beautiful 1st place-winning felted sheep exhibit, and me with my real, still-mobile, occasionally uncooperative Babydolls!

What a wonderful crew. 😍
