Grand final day! We had sun, heat, wind, dust storm and then the rain. Power blackout at Deverall during the last round and out came the bell 🔔🔔.
Our 10B went down to Hornets 10-12 in a very entertaining and close game. At the same time our 12/13B were doing battle with Chippo going down 17-18 - doesn’t get any closer than that.
Serena Dewberry coach of our 10s was awarded BCNA 2026 Junior Coach of the Year. She joined Charles coach of 7s who on round 14 was named BCNA 2026 NetSetGo Coach of the Year.
Our 10s and 12s had the best sideline supporters. Jamilla won MVP in the 12/13B Div. Deb Johnstone umpired at 11.
Come 3pm our Div 4 ladies took to the court in the middle of a wind and dust storm. They played an outstanding game comfortable winners against Workers 24-14 and undefeated premiers. Dot Cowdroy was named MVP. Truly a great day for Birrong🖤🤍🖤
