🎥 Some of the leading minds in workplace mental health are backing what we've built, and the research is clear on why.

Prof. Tony LaMontagne (Deakin University, contributor to World Health Organization Mental Health at Work Guidelines) co-authored the landmark systematic review behind our program design - 26 studies, over 15,000 hospitality workers - finding that leader-focused, organisation-level intervention is what actually shifts mental health outcomes in this industry.

Not broad, one-size-fits-all awareness campaigns.

That's exactly why HOSPO Health is built as a three-tier model - full sector coverage, plus depth where the evidence says it matters most:
🔹 Online All Staff Program - free, self-paced, available right now to all 24,000 hospitality workers across Tasmania. Five modules covering physical, mental, social, financial and occupational wellbeing.
🔹 Online Leaders Program - launching soon. Seven self-paced modules giving every leader in the industry practical, no-jargon tools to support their teams.
🔹 Face-to-Face Leaders Program - our deepest layer. A 12-month program working directly with leadership teams, building real accountability and embedding change property-wide. This is where the research says government investment produces real, measurable behaviour change.

Every worker and every leader in Tasmania's hospitality industry has free access to evidence-based support.

Our refreshed website is almost ready to launch, watch this space!

That's what we're building toward. Healthier people, Safer workplaces, Stronger businesses. An industry Tasmania is genuinely proud of.

HOSPO Health’s Vision 2040 is ambitious: To make Tasmania the best place in the world to build a career in hospitality. A place where people feel healthy, valued, psychologically safe and proud to work.

This isn’t about wellness perks.

It’s about creating an industry where people can genuinely thrive.
Because world-class hospitality should include the way we treat the people delivering it.

Most workplace mental health programs wait for someone to hit crisis point before stepping in. That's too late, too expensive, and completely avoidable.
The research is clear - prevention returns up to $14.30 for every dollar invested. HOSPO Health is that upstream investment for Tasmania's hospitality industry.

Applications closing soon.

The Evidence Gap
Across 26 peer-reviewed studies involving 15,069 hospitality workers, researchers found only one intervention study addressing workplace mental health in food and bar workers.

One.

That's the evidence gap HOSPO Health was built to fill. Designed by practitioners, backed by the researchers who identified the gap, delivered at industry scale. Prof. Anthony LaMontagne, Deakin University, World Health Organization (WHO) contributor, and co-author of that review - has endorsed it on camera.

Tasmania is building the model the rest of Australia needs.
