This tick (terrible isn't it!) was lodged in my daughter's head last year. I could see the critters legs waving about it was so massive, so gross and…yikes.
She is very sensitive and began to develop systemic neurological symptoms within hours. I am SO lucky that I had the contact details of Dobrusia, a Naturopath, that I am going to share with you below. But first:
As many of you know, ticks are a huge problem here in Sydney, particularly Northern Sydney and not only can cause immediate neurological toxic responses but also downstream tick borne illness as well as leading to Alpha Gal Syndrome, Mammalian Allergy (Red Meat Anaphylaxis) which is increasing at a scary rate!
Calling Dobrusia was instantly calming for me, I wasn't only concerned about the neuro symptoms my daughter had but obviously harbouring that fear (that so many of us do) regarding the transmission of pathogens and subsequent chronic disease. Dobrusia is very experienced in this area & extremely knowledgeable- she took a history and devised a treatment protocol that dealt with the acute neurological toxicity and then told me to watch for the symptoms that can emerge some days later that indicate the onset of the more sinister conditions we fear from ticks.
My daughter took about 3.5 weeks to recover from the reaction to the tick bite itself, headaches and fatigue being the most prominent symptoms. She took almost two weeks off school!! Luckily, she didn't show signs she tick borne illness within that period and post that period.
Even though I have many tricks and tools in my arsenal for health including herbs, redox molecules and homeopathy, I cannot recommend Dobrusia’s acute tick service enough. I even had a small tick bite me last week, and once again, even though I feel well equipped to tackle the tick I still booked a consult for myself to make sure I was on track and not missing anything.
