SAM MITCHELL TRAINING

Thank you so much to Sam Mitchell Training for his delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid Training in Berri recently!

Our Town Berri sent along Community Weaver, Carly, Communications Lead, Kirste and Core Team member, Tim, as well as community member Brad to a two-day training. The group listened to and shared stories and learned skills to assist an Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander person who may be experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.

โ€œSam created a relaxed, comfortable & interactive environment throughout the course which made it easy to learn. I found the training to be very informative and gained a lot of knowledge around the mental health space and confident to be able reach out, identify warning signs and give the right supports and advice to anyone experiencing mental health challenges.โ€ - Brad

VIETNAM VETERANS DAY

Tuesday, August 18 | 11am | Riverland Vietnam War Veterans & Post World War Two Monument, Vaughan Terrace, Berri.

Please join with our local Vietnam Veterans for this year's commemorative service to be held in Berri.

Seating will be made available to the public. All veterans (not just Vietnam Veterans) and their families are invited to attend the service.

Lunch will be held from 12pm onwards in the Berri Hotel Bistro immediately after the service.
