Last week, the Sutherland Shire Centenarians Morning Tea was held at Hazelhurst Arts Centre, celebrating an incredible milestone within the community. Residents Hazel and Shirley attended as special guests, joining local residents aged 100 years and over.

It was a truly special morning filled with warmth, connection, and celebration, as guests shared stories, laughter, and reflections on a century of life, resilience, and community spirit.

Last week, we proudly hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council, bringing everyone together for a lovely morning of tea, treats, and great conversation. It was a wonderful way to connect, share, and give back to an important cause.

We recently welcomed Councillor Natalie Mort to Ibis Care Mortdale to discuss supporting positive ageing and wellbeing. “I’m really impressed… there’s a lot happening here,” she said.

Councillor Mort highlighted Council initiatives like Seniors Week, while CEO James Carter noted these events help residents stay engaged.
