✨ Have you ever wondered why your child keeps doing the same thing over and over again?

They’re not “just playing”—they’re exploring the world through play schemas.

Play schemas are repeated patterns of play that help children make sense of how things work. Whether they’re filling and emptying buckets, lining up cars, spinning in circles, building cubbies, or throwing objects, these repeated actions are supporting important learning and development.

At Playful Discoveries, we embrace these moments because we know they are building:

We are incredibly grateful to have been awarded 3rd place in the Bernardi’s Marketplace Blayney Building Better Communities program!🥉

A huge thank you to Bernardi’s for their generous contribution to Playful Discoveries. This funding will help us purchase new resources for our playgroup, ensuring we can continue providing high-quality play experiences while keeping our sessions completely free for local families.

This support also allows us to continue growing Little Beginnings – our new mums and bubs group 💚

Little Beginnings is a welcoming weekly mums & bubs group for babies from birth to 12 months, created to help local families connect, build friendships and find their village 🍃

Whether you’re a first-time mum or adding another little one to the family, you’ll find a relaxed, supportive space where feeding, cuddles, naps and baby chatter are all part of our morning

Each week includes:
🌿 Gentle sensory and play experiences for your baby
