So often in the work I do I hear people referring to themselves as being ‘broken’ and needing to be ‘fixed’.
The fundamental problem with believing you are broken implies that you are flawed, and that who you are isn’t enough. This belief is riddled with shame and reveals a fundamental lack of self love and self acceptance.
As long as you believe that who you are deep down is wrong you will always feel ‘broken’.
It is this fundamental conditioned belief that is the cause of feelings of unworthiness and shame.
This core belief usually comes from a childhood experience of shame and not being accepted for who you are which leads to the core belief that there is something wrong with me and who I am isn’t enough.
The only way to transcend this limiting core belief is through fully owning, accepting and loving yourself the way you are.
When you love and embrace the parts of yourself you believe are unlovable, you become whole again and you open the door to true healing.
When you truly love yourself the way you are you realise that you aren’t broken and you don’t need fixing.
The healing journey is not about fixing yourself, it’s about realising on a deeper level that you are not broken.
