Every step we take honours the strength, courage, and resilience of the men in our care, their families, and all those facing this journey. Together, we are raising awareness, supporting vital research, and showing that no one walks alone.

🐶🐾 On the 28th May 2026, Fig Tree will be holding our Annual Dog Show! 🏆
If you have a well behaved dog, we would absolutely love for you to bring them along and join in the fun. It’s always a wonderful morning filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of cuddles for our residents. ❤️
Let’s come together and make this another fantastic event for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to meet all your furry friends! 🐕🐩

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to support our Friend and colleague, Alina Shrestha, who has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Alina is a valued part of our team and a truly kind and caring person. Now it’s our turn to stand by her during this incredibly difficult time.

Today we held our ANZAC Service and took time to remember and reflect. A big thank you to our wonderful residents who helped make the service so special — your support and involvement meant a lot.
After the service, we enjoyed some traditional Anzac biscuits and a rum and milk together. A meaningful day shared with great company. Lest we forget.

Today we headed out for a great day of exploring at the museum in Newcastle — lots to see, learn, and talk about! 🏛️
After all that walking and curiosity, we wrapped up the day the best way possible — KFC by the beach 🍗🌊
Good food, fresh air, and plenty of smiles made it a perfect outing!

Today at the café we celebrated Shrove Tuesday with a delicious stack of pancakes 🥞✨
Shrove Tuesday (also known as Pancake Day) is traditionally the day before Lent begins in the Christian calendar. It was a time to use up rich ingredients like eggs, milk and sugar before the fasting season — and what better way to do that than with pancakes!
Lots of smiles, sweet toppings, and maybe a little extra syrup… 😋 A lovely morning shared together with great company and even better treats. 💛

We decided not to wait and celebrated Valentine’s Day a little early with a beautiful champagne breakfast! 🥐🍓✨
There was plenty of bubbles, lots of laughter, delicious treats, and even sweeter company ❤️ Nothing better than starting the day surrounded by good friends, great food, and a little sparkle in our glasses! 🥂💖
Who says you have to wait for the 14th to celebrate love? We’re all about making memories whenever we can! 💕
