Yesterday we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day with a lovely afternoon tea to recognise and celebrate our amazing staff. 🥰☕🍰
A huge thank you to our wonderful residents for their beautiful words, kind thoughts and appreciation. ❤️
And to our incredible staff — thank you for everything you do each and every day. Your compassion, dedication and care make such a difference to the lives of our residents. 🌟
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team at Fig Tree! 💙

NAIDOC Week at Fig Tree 💛🖤❤️
As part of NAIDOC Week, our residents have been creating beautiful First Nations-inspired artwork while listening to Aboriginal music and sharing Dreamtime stories together.
Our artwork is now proudly displayed in the Promenade hallway alongside the Dreamtime stories that inspired each piece, including How the Echidna Got His Spikes, How the Birds Got Their Colours, The Three Sisters, and everyone's favourite, Tiddalick the Frog.
It was a wonderful week of creativity, storytelling and learning as we celebrate and acknowledge the rich cultures, histories and traditions of the First Nations peoples of Australia.

As part of NAIDOC Week, our residents enjoyed a unique Australian cooking experience by making Kangaroo Bolognese in the Thermomix using native Australian ingredients.
For some, it was a wonderful opportunity to step outside their comfort zone and try something new, while others were happy to watch the cooking process, share stories, and enjoy the aromas filling the room. It was a fantastic way to celebrate Australia's rich culture, native flavours, and the spirit of coming together.

🌈 A BIG thank you to Bernie's Bar Bar for helping us find the amazing Karma Gettem at such short notice!
Our residents absolutely loved her performance and had such a fantastic time. Thank you for helping make the day so special — you’re welcome back anytime!
To celebrate Pride Month in July, we were thrilled to host a fabulous drag queen show here at Fig Tree. At Fig Tree, we are proud to be an inclusive community where everyone is welcome, valued, and celebrated.

🐶🐾 DOG SHOW THIS THURSDAY! 🐾🐶
Last month we unfortunately had to postpone our Dog Show due to a some residents being unwell and only having a few dogs registered.
The good news is that it's back on this Thursday, 11th June at 10:00am! 🎉
The trophies are ready, our residents are excited, and all we need now is YOUR dogs! 🏆🐕
If you can help us make this a special morning, please give us a call on 4950 4133.
How the show works: 🐾 Residents will be seated on our verandah. 🐾 You simply walk your dog through the group. 🐾 Residents can have a pat and spend some time with your furry friend. 🐾 If your dog can do a trick, we'd love to see it! 🐾 If your dog doesn't do tricks, that's perfectly fine too – all dogs are welcome.
This event brings so much joy to our residents, and we'd love to see as many dogs as possible. Thank you for helping us create another wonderful morning of smiles, wagging tails, and happy memories. ❤️🐶

we are proud to walk together in support of men affected by prostate cancer. Every step we take honours the strength, courage, and resilience of the men in our care, their families, and all those facing this journey. Together, we are raising awareness, supporting vital research, and showing that no one walks alone.

🐶🐾 On the 28th May 2026, Fig Tree will be holding our Annual Dog Show! 🏆
If you have a well behaved dog, we would absolutely love for you to bring them along and join in the fun. It’s always a wonderful morning filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of cuddles for our residents. ❤️
Let’s come together and make this another fantastic event for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to meet all your furry friends! 🐕🐩

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to support our Friend and colleague, Alina Shrestha, who has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia.
Alina is a valued part of our team and a truly kind and caring person. Now it’s our turn to stand by her during this incredibly difficult time.
