R U OK?

Carinity Fassifern Community Centre, in partnership with the Fassifern Su***de Prevention Network, will be at the Council Forecourt in Boonah on Thursday 10th September to say hi as we check in on our community for RU OK Day 2026.

We will have our table of handy resources to help you have a conversation with someone who shows signs of distress or difficulty and connect them to appropriate support, long before they're in crisis.

We will be there from 10am to 12pm and are super excited to see you, have a chat and have a cupcake together.

Would you like to make a valuable contribution to your community? Carinity Fassifern Community Centre is seeking more volunteers to support our programs and clients.

Roles include catering in our café, garden and grounds maintenance, administration and logistics, and community outreach including providing practical support to the local vulnerable and elderly.

We welcome passionate people who are willing to lend a hand and give back to the Scenic Rim community. There is no commitment required and full training is provided.

Aftercare Connect Program is a gentle support pathway program that provides follow-up support for clients, families & community members after they engage in programs, classes, counselling, workshops, and appointments.

Aftercare Connect will be available onsite every Friday – 9am to 1:30pm (or other weekdays upon request/appointment).

If you are looking for a yummy bite to eat, a refreshing beverage or just a chance to chat with new and old friends... join us every Friday at the Community Centre for our Cafe 11 from 9.00am and our BBQ lunch from 12pm.

We also have our Musical Connections program at 10am for Ukelele Lessons and 11am Sing-Along Session if you want to singalong to your favourite tunes.

Carers Qld – Local Area Coordinators in Community are here to connect with you and learn about options available to support your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) journey and find other supports that are available.

These quick, one-to-one conversations can get you started or guide you in the right direction.

The LACs will be at our Centre on the 3rd Friday of each month. Next date is 21st August at 10am.

Got an NDIS plan but unsure about your next steps? Come along to our 2-hour drop-in session where you can chat one on one with an experienced Support Coordinator.

Dates for August are today, Friday 14th - 1pm to 3pm and Thursday 27th - 11:30am to 1:30pm.
