Give Your Voice More Strength with SPEAK OUT!®

Living with Parkinson’s can affect voice volume, clarity and communication, sometimes making it harder to be heard and understood.

Beth Atkins, Speech Pathologist, is trained to deliver the SPEAK OUT!® program, an evidence-based approach designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s.

The program focuses on:

🗣️ Using your voice with intent
🔊 Supporting a stronger, clearer speaking voice
💬 Improving communication in everyday situations
🎯 Building strategies that can be incorporated into daily life

If you or someone you care for with Parkinson’s has noticed changes in their voice or communication, speech pathology support may help.

Contact us to find out more about SPEAK OUT!® and whether it may be suitable for you.

Speech Pathology Week 2026

SPW 2026 is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vital role speech pathologists play in supporting communication, voice, swallowing and mealtime skills. 💙

This week, we recognise the people we support, the families and care teams we work alongside, and the difference that effective speech pathology can make to participation, connection, confidence and quality of life.

We’re proud to celebrate our profession and the many ways speech pathologists help people find their voice and be heard.

Whispering Isn't Always Better

🤫 Myth or Fact?

Myth: Whispering gives your voice a rest.

Fact: Whispering can sometimes place MORE strain on your voice than speaking gently and naturally.

Instead:

✔️ Speak softly but naturally
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Rest your voice when it feels tired

If you experience persistent hoarseness, it’s important to have your voice assessed by an appropriate health professional.
