Happy World Breastfeeding Week!
Whether you choose to breastfeed for days, weeks, months or years, this special connection is one you’ll never forget.
How incredible are our bodies? That a mother’s body knows exactly what her baby needs and produces that through breastmilk. If your baby is sick, breastmilk will have the antibodies your baby needs just by the saliva from your baby when they breastfeed. It provides comfort, allows them to sleep, and has all the nutrition their little bodies needs.
It helps mum with weight loss, mood regulation, bonding, immune function, prevents breast cancer and the list goes on.
I feel beyond blessed to have been able to breastfeed both my girls past 12 months but a part of me is baffled by the fact that I’m 1 in the 5%.
No matter what your breastfeeding journey looked like, I invite you to be thankful, and look upon that time as one that was special and once in a lifetime 💗💗
