Here is a summary of the video "Gargacharya's temporary delusion, Muchukunda's story: soul is eternal - BG Ch 2 Sloka 1-32, Part 7" by Vasudeva Kriya Yoga With Rajendra:

Key Highlights & Stories Shared
Gargacharya & Kalayavana:

Gargacharya, the family priest who performed Krishna and Balarama's secret naming ceremony in a cowshed, was later insulted when Yadavas laughed at his desire to marry in old age.

Overcome by tamas (delusion/anger), he performed intense penance to beget a child—Kalayavana—who would destroy Krishna.

Krishna lured Kalayavana into the cave of King Muchukunda, who had been granted a boon to sleep undisturbed after assisting the devatas in battle. When Kalayavana kicked Muchukunda awake, Muchukunda's fiery gaze reduced Kalayavana to ashes.

Gargacharya later repented. The speaker emphasizes that sattvic (virtuous) individuals can temporarily fall into error/delusion, but they realize and correct their mistakes—unlike tamasic individuals who justify their wrongdoing.

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Insights (Slokas 1–32):

The Eternal Soul (Atman): The physical body undergoes continuous changes (childhood, youth, old age, death), but the true self/soul inside is indestructible, permanent, and untouched.

Understanding "Me and Mine": Over-attachment to "my family, my job, my possessions" is the root cause of all anxiety, depression, and suffering. Minimizing attachment frees the mind.

Inevitability of Change: Birth leads to death, and death leads to rebirth. Change is constant, and wise individuals embrace it without getting bogged down or overly serious.

Action vs. Inaction (Karma Yoga): Knowing life/body is temporary should not lead to laziness (akarma) or wrong action (vikarma). Instead, one must pour their heart into their duties (dharma), seize provided opportunities, and live fully.
