🌿💗 GLOBAL WELLNESS DAY 2026 | 💗🌿

Tomorrow, we join people around the world in celebrating Global Wellness Day.

This year's theme, , invites us to explore joy as more than a fleeting feeling. It encourages us to see joy as a practice—something we can cultivate, share, and return to, even during life's challenges.

At Nunyara Farm, we often find that Nature is one of our greatest teachers of joy.

The first rays of morning sunlight filtering through the trees.
The call of a bird overhead.
The intricate beauty of a spider's web.
A sky painted with colour at sunset.
The quiet wonder of watching a seedling emerge from the earth.

These simple moments invite us to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters.

✨ We'd love to hear from you.

Share a photo in the comments of something in Nature that inspires joy, wonder, optimism, or emotional wellbeing for you.

It could be:
🌸 A flower that makes you smile
🌳 A favourite tree
🌊 A beach, river, or waterway
🦋 A bird, insect, or animal encounter
🌅 A sunrise or sunset
🌿 Any moment in Nature that fills your heart with joy

Let's create a beautiful collection of joy-filled moments and remind one another that wellbeing can often be found in the simplest of places.

📸 Share your photo below and tell us: What is it about this moment that brings you joy?

💗And here's our question for Global Wellness Day:
What is one thing in Nature that never fails to lift your spirits?

We can't wait to see the moments of joy, wonder, and connection that inspire you.

Happy Monday 🩷

For many of us, today offers something increasingly precious: a day with nowhere particular to be and nothing urgent to do.

So let today be an invitation to slow down and soften into the day. Sleep in a little longer. Enjoy that second cup of tea. Take a walk, sit in the sunshine, read a few pages of a book, or perhaps indulge in an afternoon nap.

So much of life asks us to keep doing. Today, give yourself permission to simply be.

Breathe deeply. Rest fully. Let your mind, body and soul catch up with each other.

Inhale peace. Exhale stress.
Inhale love. Exhale fears.
Inhale calm. Exhale worries.

Wishing you a gentle and restorative day. 💚

🌿Today is World Environment Day 🌿

The more connected we feel to nature, the more likely we are to protect it.

Today, we celebrate the beauty, wisdom, and resilience of the natural world, and our shared responsibility to care for it—now and for future generations.

At Nunyara Farm, we are continually reminded that connection is where care begins.

🌿 The Wisdom of Winter 🌿

One of the greatest lessons winter offers is this:

Nature never asks us to be productive all the time.

The trees are not trying to flower in winter.
The soil is not trying to harvest itself.
The animals are not apologising for conserving energy.

Nature simply responds to what the season requires.

Yet many of us have forgotten how to do the same.

We live in a world that celebrates constant doing. More work. More achievement. More productivity.

But winter whispers a different invitation.

To pause.
To listen.
To rest.
To restore.

To simply be.

In the stillness of winter, we are reminded that recovery is not the opposite of growth—it is part of growth.

The Earth is not rushing.
The seasons are not rushing.
And neither are we.

Perhaps this week, give yourself permission to release the pressure of constant doing and return to the simple practice of being.

Just as nature does.

❄️ Welcome, Winter ❄️

Today marks the first day of winter in Australia.

In nature, winter is not a season of inactivity. It is a season of restoration.

The trees draw their energy inward. The soil rests. Seeds lie dormant beneath the Earth, quietly gathering strength for the seasons ahead. Nature understands that growth is not constant. There are times to bloom, and there are times to replenish.

Yet many of us continue to move through winter as though nothing has changed.

What if we allowed ourselves to follow nature's lead?

Winter invites us to slow down.
To nourish ourselves deeply.
To spend time in reflection.
To honour our need for warmth, rest and recovery.

In the Wayapa Wuurrk philosophy, we recognise that we are part of nature—not separate from it. When we observe the wisdom of the seasons, we are reminded that wellbeing is found in balance.

Winter is not asking us to stop growing.

It is asking us to restore the foundations from which growth becomes possible.

As the season turns, may you find moments of warmth, renewal and connection—with yourself, with others, and with the Earth that holds us all.

🌕 Moon Medicine Tonight 🌕

In Wayapa Wuurrk, we recognise that the moon influences all the waters of the Earth—the oceans, the seas, the rivers, and the waters within ourselves.

Just as the moon's pull affects the tides, tonight offers an opportunity to reflect on what may be stirring beneath the surface of our own lives. What emotions, thoughts, habits, or stories are ready to be released? What is calling for greater attention, care, and nourishment?

Take some time to step outside and connect with Country. Feel the Earth beneath your feet. Lift your eyes to the moon. Notice the sounds, scents, and sensations around you.

You may like to try a simple moon ritual:

✨ Write down:
*"I release what no longer serves me..."*

Allow yourself to be honest and gentle.

Then write:

✨ *"I welcome..."*

Perhaps it is peace, clarity, courage, trust, rest, joy, or deeper connection.

As you reflect, remember that we are not separate from nature. The same forces that move the tides move through us. When we nurture our relationship with the Earth, we nurture our own wellbeing.

Tonight, may the moon remind you to soften, release, and return to balance.

Today is National Sorry Day.

For some people, the idea of saying “sorry” for something they personally did not do can feel confusing or uncomfortable. But to me, saying sorry is not always about carrying blame — it is about acknowledging hurt.

When a friend shares a painful story or speaks about something that wounded them, we don’t usually respond by distancing ourselves from it. Instead, we lean in with empathy and compassion and say, “I’m so sorry that happened to you.”

National Sorry Day is much the same.

It is an opportunity to acknowledge the pain, trauma and ongoing impact experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly the Stolen Generations. It is about recognising that deep wounds were caused, and that healing begins with listening, truth-telling, compassion and respect.

A sincere apology has the power to help reset and rebuild relationships. When people feel seen, heard and validated in their hurt, it creates space for connection, understanding and healing to grow.

And so, our team at Nunyara Farm acknowledge the Stolen Generations and extend our deepest empathy to those who continue to carry pain and hurt through these experiences. We recognise that historical injustice remains an ongoing source of intergenerational trauma for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities and peoples.

Today is not about shame.
It is about humanity.
It is about empathy.
And it is about walking forward together with greater care for one another and for community. 🕊️

We did it 🌿

This weekend, Nunyara Farm opened its gates to 12 dynamic, creative, thoughtful — and at times, absolutely hilarious — young men for our inaugural Grounded: A Rite of Passage for Young Men retreat.

And what a weekend it was.

To the boys:
thank you.

Thank you for showing up with openness, curiosity, vulnerability and courage. Thank you for embracing new experiences, participating wholeheartedly, supporting one another and stepping outside your comfort zones — despite the weather doing its very best to test us at times!

From shared meals and campfire conversations, to teamwork, laughter, muddy boots and moments of quiet reflection… it was a privilege to witness each of you contribute your own energy and personality to the retreat brotherhood.

And yes… even a 6:30am cold water plunge in the beautiful Shoalhaven River. Brrrrr! ❄️🌿

Over the course of the weekend, we watched friendships form, confidence grow and young men begin to recognise the value of simply being themselves.

Our hearts are incredibly full.

A huge thank you also to the families, facilitators, mentors and wider community who supported this vision and trusted us to hold this space for your boys.

Grounded was created with deep intention, and this weekend reminded us just how important spaces like this truly are.

With gratitude,
Bianca, Steve & the Grounded Team 🤍

Today is the day 🌿

After months of thoughtful planning, deep conversations, collaboration and care, this afternoon Nunyara Farm will open the farm gate to welcome 12 young men for the inaugural Grounded retreat.

Over the coming days, these boys will step away from the noise and pressure of everyday life and into an experience designed to foster connection, confidence, reflection, responsibility and belonging.

There will be campfires and conversations. Shared meals and teamwork. Laughter, challenge, stillness and moments of quiet growth.

Grounded was created with a simple but powerful intention:
to give young men space to pause, reset and begin to understand who they are — in a way that feels steady, supportive and real.

We know that meaningful experiences like this do not happen in isolation. Thank you to the families, facilitators, mentors and wider community who have supported and believed in this vision from the very beginning.

Today, we begin 🌿
