If you're dealing with er****on difficulties, the first thing worth knowing is that you're in very good company.

Erectile Dysfunction is one of the most common s*xual concerns men experience. It just doesn't get talked about much, which is exactly why it can feel so isolating when it's happening to you. The silence makes it feel rare, but it isn't.

It can bring up frustration, embarrassment, a knock to your confidence, and worry about what it means. Partners often feel it as well, sometimes confused or unsure, or wondering if it's something to do with them. All of that is a completely understandable response to something that can make s*x feel pressured and hard to talk about.

The good news is that Erectile Dysfunction is often very treatable, especially once you start to understand what's contributing to it. Whether that's physical health, stress, confidence, or what's happening in a relationship, rather than a problem with you.

Whenever you're ready to make sense of it, our team is here to support you.

The hardest part is often just finding someone you feel comfortable saying it out loud to.

That's the thing people tell us again and again about the topics Michael works with. Not that the problem was unsolvable, but that they'd spent months, sometimes years, not knowing where to take it. Michael is one of the registered psychologists here at Centre RSW, and he's especially easy to talk to about exactly those conversations, the personal, private, slightly awkward ones that tend to get put off.

His interest in men's s*xual health sits alongside his broader work with people of all genders around intimacy, relationships, and the everyday stuff like stress, low mood, and big life changes. Wherever you're at, and whatever you've been sitting on, he meets it without a flicker.

Michael has appointments opening up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in person or via telehealth.

It's a question a lot of men quietly sit with, often for far longer than they need to.

The good news is you don't need to work out whether it "counts" as erectile dysfunction before you reach out. An occasional off night is completely normal, and when the difficulty does stick around, it's one of the most common things men bring to us. Either way, you're in good company.

What helps most is understanding what's actually going on for you. The causes can be physical, psychological, or a mix of the two, and that's exactly what shapes the way forward.

If this has been on your mind, our team of registered psychologists, counsellors, and s*xologists is here to help.

If you've ever had a night where things didn't go the way you hoped, and then caught yourself bracing a little before the next time, this will probably feel familiar.

Performance anxiety is one of the most common things we see, and one of the least talked about. A single off night is completely normal, and all sorts of things can feed into it. What tends to keep it going is the worry that follows. The checking, the monitoring, the quiet pressure to make sure everything works next time. That pressure is exactly what makes arousal harder, which loops straight back into the worry.

The reassuring part is that a cycle isn't a fact about you, and it isn't permanent. Once you understand what's actually going on, a lot can shift, and this is very workable.

If you ever need support, our team of registered psychologists, counsellors, and s*xologists is here to help.

In case you haven't met them yet, these are the two people who started Centre RSW.

Hilary and Daniel are both clinical psychologists, and they founded the practice after noticing how few places offered support in s*xual and relational health. The kind that takes the clinical side seriously without ever feeling cold. So they set out to build one, and the wider team of psychologists and counsellors here today has grown out of that same idea.

Hilary is a clinical psychologist and s*xologist, and she's completely at ease with the conversations most people find hardest to have. That warmth is a big part of why she's become such a sought-after voice on s*xual health, through her speaking and her podcast appearances. Daniel is a clinical psychologist and academic, and he brings real clinical and research depth to the work. He also has a knack for making complicated ideas easy to follow, and for putting people at ease while he does it.

Between them, they've built something the whole team now shares. A practice where serious expertise comes without the coldness, and where nothing is off the table. That mix, real depth and real warmth in the same room, is the whole idea behind Centre RSW.

June is Men’s Health Month, and there’s one condition that doesn’t get talked about nearly enough: pelvic floor dysfunction.

Many people are surprised to learn that men have a pelvic floor too. When these muscles become tight, weak, or uncoordinated, they can contribute to symptoms such as pelvic or groin pain, urinary urgency or leakage, constipation, and even erectile dysfunction.

What makes pelvic floor dysfunction particularly challenging is that its symptoms often overlap with other conditions. Many men are told they have prostatitis, digestive issues, or are simply left without clear answers. Others may not realize pelvic floor dysfunction is even a possibility.

The reality? Up to 16% of men will experience chronic pelvic pain or pelvic floor dysfunction during their lifetime.

Pelvic pain is not just a women’s health issue, and symptoms that affect your quality of life deserve attention.
