GLP-1 medications are changing the way we think about obesity and metabolic health.
While many people know them for their ability to support weight loss, emerging research suggests their benefits may extend far beyond the scales, including improvements in inflammation, insulin resistance, cardiovascular health and fatty liver disease.
But here’s what I don’t want people to overlook:
The medication is only one part of the treatment.
Without the right nutrition, it’s possible to lose valuable muscle mass, under-consume protein, develop nutrient deficiencies and struggle with side effects such as constipation and fatigue.
The goal isn’t simply to become smaller.
The goal is to become metabolically healthier, stronger, more energised and feel your best.
If you’re taking a GLP-1, make sure your nutrition is supporting the incredible work the medication is doing.
At Shay Health Hub, we work with clients to preserve muscle, optimise nutrition and create sustainable habits that support long-term health, both during and after GLP-1 treatment.
Save this post for later and send it to someone starting their GLP-1 journey.
