Meet Hannah, our newest Occupational Therapist 👋

Hannah supports adolescents agedand adults with mental health and psychosocial needs, helping them develop practical skills, build independence and participate in everyday life.

Since graduating in 2018, she has gained experience across mental health, community, rehabilitation and aged care. Her approach is person-centred, collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on goals that matter to each person.

Hannah primarily supports people across Brisbane’s southside and also offers telehealth appointments.

We’re an NDIS registered provider.

Our name has changed, but With Purpose Mental Health continues to support NDIS participants through our Occupational Therapy and Social Work services.
Our team has extensive experience supporting people with psychosocial disability, neurodevelopmental conditions and complex functional needs.

We work with participants to understand how disability impacts everyday life and provide individualised, practical support focused on their goals, function, participation to support their independence.
The NDIS remains an important part of what we do.

It's simply no longer the only way people can access us.

After six years as Do It With Purpose Occupational Therapy, we're excited to introduce the next chapter of our organisation.

Welcome to With Purpose Mental Health.

Since beginning in 2020, our service has continued to grow and evolve and we wanted our name and identity to grow with us.

Our new name better reflects the service we are today and where we're heading next.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about who we are, what we do, our team and the different ways you can access support.

5 YEARS OF WINSOME!

This week, we're celebrating a pretty special milestone - 5 years of Winsome! 💛

Five years in our sector is no small feat. Winsome has been with us through an incredible amount of change, growth and evolution, and throughout it all she has continued to learn, adapt and develop her knowledge of mental health and psychosocial disability.

At the same time, she remains our resident SME for all things Assistive Technology - the person we turn to when the rest of us have absolutely no idea what piece of equipment, gadget or modification someone is talking about.

But Winsome brings so much more to our team than her clinical knowledge.

She is very much the ‘mum’ of the group - caring, thoughtful, dependable and always looking out for the people around her. She puts her whole heart into what she does, whether that’s supporting a participant, helping a colleague or contributing to our team.
She genuinely has a heart of absolute gold, and we are incredibly lucky to have her.

Winsome also continues to regularly apply for the position of Tea Lady at With Purpose Mental Health. Unfortunately, after careful consideration, management has once again determined that she is significantly overqualified for the role, and frankly, we’d miss her far too much at our morning meetings.

Congratulations on 5 years, Winsome. Thank you for everything you have brought to our team, our clients and our organisation over those years.

This morning, Samantha and Aaron had the opportunity to facilitate an ADHD education session for a wonderful group of GPs.

They explored the lived experience of ADHD, including executive functioning challenges, time blindness, emotional regulation, burnout, rejection sensitivity and hyperfocus, along with practical strategies that can support people in everyday life.

It was great to see so much interest in better understanding and supporting people living with ADHD.

A reminder that endorsed Mental Health Occupational Therapists can accept referrals under a Mental Health Care Plan, something many people are still surprised to learn.
