🌸 Today was one of those truly special days that reminded me why we do what we do.

I was lucky enough to head out into the community with one of our longstanding participants, who does not often have the opportunity to leave her home. Meeting in the community has been a goal for many years, and until today, we had only met outside her home once before—to view a Specialist Disability Accommodation property.

Today, we celebrated both of our birthdays together. 🎂 What may seem like a simple outing to some was an incredible achievement and a moment worth celebrating.

I was also surprised with a beautiful bunch of flowers and the kindest birthday wishes. I could not be more appreciative of the thoughtful, warm-hearted participants we have the privilege of supporting.

Our team spends so much time behind the scenes—advocating, coordinating supports, solving problems and working hard to achieve better outcomes—that we do not often get the opportunity to step away from the office.

Today was a beautiful reminder to stop and appreciate these moments. Building genuine connections with our participants—the people at the heart of everything we do—is what makes this work so meaningful.

A visit that made my day 💚
I have had the privilege of supporting Lucie with Support Coordination since her very first NDIS plan.
As my role has grown into Director and Specialist Support Coordinator at Holt For Moore Support, much of my time is now spent overseeing our Support Coordinators and supporting the needs of participants across the organisation. However, I recently had the opportunity to drop in and visit Lucie at her new SIL home.
It was wonderful to see the positive difference her new home and support provider have made. Although Lucie could not remember my name, she certainly remembered my face. Her reaction was incredibly special—she had goosebumps, proudly showed me around her home and introduced me to her housemate.
The support worker on shift was amazed by Lucie’s response, and I was reminded just how meaningful genuine relationships and continuity of support can be.
Seeing smiles like this makes the hard days so much easier. It was truly lovely to see Lucie looking so happy and settled in her new home. 💚

🩷 Tutu Terrific! 🩷

What started as a request for a “Yes Day” turned into something just as special! Through choice, conversation and a little compromise, the perfect plan was created—matching tutus and an extremely fun community-access adventure! 🚌✨

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, new experiences and wonderful memories out in the community. This is what person-centred support is all about: listening to what matters to each participant and finding fun, meaningful ways to make their day amazing.

Who says you need a Yes Day when you can have a Tutu Terrific Day? 💕🥰

We're excited to introduce Stephano, one of our caring and passionate Support Workers here at Holt For Moore Support! 💜

Originally from the Philippines and now calling New Zealand and Australia home, Stephano loves meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and helping others live life to the fullest.

With a background in hospitality, he found his true passion in disability support—where making a genuine difference in someone's day is the most rewarding part of his work. Whether it's heading out for a coffee, exploring the community, going for a walk, playing games, or simply having a great conversation, Stephano brings kindness, patience, empathy, and a great sense of humour to every shift.

When he's not supporting participants, you'll find him gaming, fishing, hiking, watching basketball or anime, cooking up a delicious stir-fry, or spending time with his very spoiled cat, Dobby! 🐱🎮🎣

We're excited to welcome a new Support Worker to the Holt For Moore Support team!

With a genuine passion for helping others, he is reliable, compassionate, and committed to supporting participants to live as independently and confidently as possible. He has experience providing daily living support, promoting independence, managing behaviours using positive reinforcement, and delivering person-centred care.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, playing sports, spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors, and continuously learning new skills. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and caring nature make him a wonderful addition to our team.
