It is that time of year again...the wedding industry awards. I often get asked if I am participating in the awards process, but the truth is, no, I no longer participate.

And it's not because I don't support them, and definitely not because I don't think there are some amazing businesses who deserve recognition. There absolutely are and a huge congratulations to all the amazing vendors who I get to work with who are finalists for 2026.

I actually entered years ago and was lucky enough to make the Top 10 and Top 5, which I was incredibly proud of and showed me I was on the right track in my celebrant business.

These days though, I no longer need an award to validate my success. That comes from couples writing amazing reviews, recommending me to others and choosing me to be a part of their special day.

Instead of asking my couples to vote, I put my energy into my couples, my family, and building the businesses I love.

So if you're wondering whether I'm "award-winning" — maybe not right now.

But if you're asking whether I'll laugh with you, cry with you, answer your panicked late-night questions, tell your story properly, and pour my heart into your ceremony.
