Education, information and services are how the right to s*xual health reaches people.

They work best when they speak about pleasure, support people at every stage of life, and turn no one away.

Let these reach every body.

Our bodies: where s*xuality, health, rights and justice are lived.

Every Body is the World S*xual Health Day 2026 theme, a declaration that S*xual Health, Rights, Justice and Pleasure belong to every person, in every body, without exception.

Why do S*xologists talk about nervous systems, calm, mental health, stress and wellbeing?

Because you cannot be exhausted, overstimulated, burnt out, flat, pooped, kaput, busted and running on fumes and then expect your body to happily switch into connection, intimacy, pleasure and desire.

Your nervous system is part of your s*x life.

When your brain is focused on surviving the day, getting through the to-do list, managing stress, parenting, work, pain, hormones, anxiety or simply keeping everyone else afloat…

S*x is rarely going to be at the top of the priority list.

And that doesn't mean something is wrong with you.

It means your body is doing exactly what bodies do.

Sometimes the work isn't “how do I make myself want s*x?”

Sometimes it's:
How do I feel safe enough to slow down?
How do I get out of survival mode?
How do I reconnect with myself?
How do I create space for pleasure?
How do I stop treating my own needs like they're optional?

Because intimacy doesn't start when you get into bed.

It starts much earlier.

And sometimes, before we can pour into someone else, we need to put a little something back into our own cup.

"While progress has been made, many LGBTQIA+SB young people still experience bullying, discrimination, exclusion and isolation.

Too many young people continue to feel unsafe at school, unsupported at home or invisible in their communities. Representation, belonging and connection remain as important as ever.

Wear It Purple continues to exist because every young person deserves to feel safe, celebrated and empowered at school, at home, at work and in their community.

We believe that when young people are supported to be themselves, they can thrive."

Tomorrow, wear some purple 💜 and show your support
