Purple for Platelets 💜

The team at Burnside Day Surgery proudly wore purple today to show our support of those with Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), a rare autoimmune disease where the body's immune system destroys healthy platelets and/or limits the production of new platelets.

ITP hits close to home for Burnside Day Surgery, as a team member's child lives with this rare disease.

By wearing purple we spark conversations and awareness. Awareness matters, helping those suffering and their families know that they're not fighting alone! 🤗

This week you might see some purple flare around the surgery to as we help raise awareness, reduce isolation, and show our support for people living with ITP.

We offer half or full day procedure lists on either a permanent recurring roster or ad-hoc lists for when you need them*. This allows you to work with what best suits you and the needs of your patients.
