🌟My weekend felt beautifully ordinary.
Our cat Cookie, found the warmest patch of winter sunshine and spent the afternoon stretched out in complete contentment. My eldest daughter Mia came over to study, and there was something so comforting about simply sharing the same space for a few hours. Later, I watched my son Liam kicking a soccer ball around with our golden retriever Oliver, who was convinced he was part of the game.
Nothing remarkable happened.
No big milestones.
No exciting announcements.
Just a collection of small moments that quietly reminded me how full life already is.
I think this is why I often invite gratitude at the end of Shavasana.
After we’ve spent an hour moving, breathing and softening, there is often a moment where we can simply notice. Notice the breath. Notice the body. Notice the life waiting for us when we step off the mat.
Gratitude, I think is about recognising that even in the midst of busy schedules, challenges and uncertainty, there are still moments worth paying attention to.
This weekend, gratitude looked a lot like sunshine, family and a dog chasing a soccer ball.
And that felt like more than enough. 🤍 I hope you enjoyed your moments of gratitude this weekend as well, Lisa x
