🎉 AGED CARE EMPLOYEE DAY – WHERE THE STAFF GOT SPOILT FOR A CHANGE! 🎉

Who says our amazing aged care team only knows how to care for everyone else? On Employee Day, we decided it was finally time to shower our wonderful staff with a little love, laughter, food and fun!

We kicked off the celebrations with some well-deserved gifts, followed by a delicious afternoon BBQ 🌭🍔 — because nothing brings people together quite like the smell of sausages cooking and the sudden appearance of everyone who “wasn’t that hungry”! 😂

The afternoon got very interesting when the games began! We put our skills (and friendships!) to the test with Jenga, B**r Pong and Darts. 🏆🎯

Jenga brought out some serious concentration, B**r Pong revealed a few hidden competitive talents, and the darts… well, let’s just say some people may need a little more practice! 🎯😂

And of course, we couldn’t have winners without trophies! 🏆 Congratulations to our game champions who took home the glory, the bragging rights and, most importantly, the trophies!

There was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see our team getting involved, having fun, cheering each other on and enjoying a relaxed and inclusive afternoon together. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing aged care staff for the compassion, dedication and care you show our residents every single day. You truly are the heart of our organisation, and we are so lucky to have such a wonderful team! 🌟

Our activity room was buzzing as our residents whipped up some delicious Lemon Cheesecake Cups! 🍋🧁
There was plenty of laughter, a little taste-testing (quality control, of course! 😉), and lots of happy faces along the way. The best part? Sitting down together afterwards to enjoy their homemade treats with a nice hot cuppa. ☕💛

What better way to spend a rainy afternoon than getting creative with paper mâché! ☔🎨
We are delighted to welcome the wonderful boys from Marist School to Pines Living for an afternoon filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of messy fun. Residents and students worked side by side creating some fantastic paper mâché masterpieces, with everyone eager to see how they turn out.
The best part? The boys will be back in two weeks to paint their creations, and we can't wait to continue the fun together!
These moments create lasting memories for everyone involved and remind us of the value of community and friendship.
A huge thank you to the Marist School boys for brightening a rainy day at Pines Living. We look forward to seeing you all again soon! 😊

🛍️ GRAND OPENING SUCCESS! 🛍️

Well, that escalated quickly! 😄

The opening of the Pines Living Aged Care Shop was such a hit that residents were practically queuing up straight after their exercise classes to be the first to buy some goodies.

There was plenty of excitement, lots of browsing, and maybe a few "I only came in for one thing" moments that somehow turned into three or four purchases! We won't mention any names... you know who you are! 😉

Our residents had an unforgettable day out at Questacon and it’s safe to say everyone’s inner child came out to play! From hands-on experiments to interactive exhibits, there was laughter, excitement, and plenty of curiosity in the air all day long.

Questacon is the kind of place where fun and learning go hand in hand — whether it was testing reactions, exploring science displays, or simply enjoying the playful atmosphere, our residents embraced every moment with huge smiles and lots of enthusiasm. It was wonderful seeing everyone so engaged, adventurous, and willing to give everything a go.

Once all the fun was had, everyone enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch together before heading back to Pines Living, full of smiles, great memories, and stories to share from such a fantastic day out.

A truly special milestone to celebrate! 🎉

Our wonderful resident Joan turned 100 this March — an incredible century of memories, wisdom, and life well lived. 💯💐

Joan’s big birthday was made even more memorable with congratulatory cards from the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia Ms Samantha Mostyn AC, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla. 👑

We are so proud to celebrate Joan and this remarkable achievement. Please join us in wishing her a very happy 100th birthday! ❤️
