Autumn is here and doesn't it feel great to be changing into a new season?!

I'm busy finalising our songs for next week and planning our craft activities. I just love when we sit and sing together, and when parents tell me the kids have been singing the songs at home 🍂

There is still one more space available on Fridays if you would like to join us x

Look at the differences between a typical preschool child’s hand (left) and a typical 7 year old hand (right). Want to know why a preschool aged child isn’t able to write yet? This is why! Their hands are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc. All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready!

A Traditional Steiner Curriculum wouldn't typically ask a child to formally write until class one or around the age of 7 🌻

Imagine a playgroup where you & your child are welcomed by the warm smiles of like minded community members...

Where the senses are nourished through the touch of bread dough and smells from the oven...

Where reverence is created by simple acts of lighting a candle and eating a meal together...

Where we sing seasonal songs as a group that bring so much joy...

Where your child's imagination is nourished through open ended toys made from natural materials...

Where you meet friends, make playdates and find connection...

Term Two bookings are now open for our Waldorf Playgroup 🌼
