Adjustments don’t make you instantly feel better, they make you instantly HEAL better.
Removing subluxations or fixations in the nervous system will increase the connectivity and communication between the brain and the body. Once the subluxation is removed your child’s nervous system can get back into action repairing and healing.
However, one adjustment isn’t going to do it. Although I’ve seen some incredible miracles in practice, neurological change takes frequent repetitions over a period of time to work. That’s because the nervous system has to heal and re connect nerve pathways in the brain and neurospinal system. It’s similar to going to the gym. You’re not going to be instantly lifting heavy weights on your first, second or even third visit. It’s going to take repetition AND consistency (ie commitment to your program) to see changes.
AND when your child’s nervous system has been stuck in fight/flight for a long period of time, it takes a long period of time for their nervous system to heal.
Lastly, less is really more. If I were to make too many adjustments at once, I can overwhelm an already overwhelmed system. Instead by providing a few super accurate adjustments at each visit I can help the nervous system prioritise healing where it needs it most.
