👅 Did you know your tongue can reveal important clues about your health?

In Chinese Medicine, your tongue is like a map, offering insights into digestive health, energy, circulation, hydration, emotional health/wellbeing and overall balance—often before symptoms become more obvious. Hence your tongue is more than just a muscle—it tells a story.

For over 2,000 years, Chinese Medicine practitioners have used tongue observation as one of their key diagnostic tools clinically to understand patterns of health and imbalance.

Chinese Medicine practitioners observe tongue colour, coating, moisture and shape.

When people think of the uterus, they think of pregnancy. Chinese Medicine views the UTERUS as more than just a vessel to carry a child. Chinese Medicine sees the UTERUS as a powerful energetic hub. It is an essential for your life force, creativity and flow not just reproduction. The Uterus influences your warmth, your emotional wellbeing and overall energy/vitality. It is connected to the menstrual cycle, hormonal health, emotions, fertility, overall wellbeing and healthy aging. ✨.

Did you know that your organs hold EMOTIONS?
Let’s deep dive into your GUT RELATED ORGANS & THE EMOTIONS ACCORDING TO CHINESE MEDICINE PHILOSOPHY
* LARGE INTESTINE - A Yang organ is paired with its Yin partner the LUNGS. The Large Intestine holds the emotion “LETTING GO” of the past. When a person struggles with this CONSTIPATION is often experienced.
* SMALL INTESTINE - A Yang organ paired with its Yin partner the HEART. The Small Intestine takes in ingested food from the Stomach & holds the role of separating “impure from the pure” From an emotional view point the Small Intestine helps us decipher what’s right from wrong. The Small Intestine assists our mental clarity.
* LIVER - A Yin organ whose role is to control the smooth flow of QI around the body is paired with its Yang Partner the GALLBLADDER. The emotions linked to the Liver are anger, irritation and frustration. When the Qi of the Liver becomes stagnant these emotions become evident.
* STOMACH- A Yang organ paired with its Yin partner the SPLEEN. The Stomach is the receiver of ingested food and alongside the Spleen transforms ingested food into nutritive Qi & Blood to be used around the body. When the Stomach & Spleen are deficient worry, pensiveness & over thinking 🤔 become evident.
* GALLBLADDER- A Yang organ paired with its Yin partner the Liver. Emotionally indecisiveness, lack of courage and timidity are linked to the Gallbladder alongside processing life changes becomes challenging. The GUT BRAIN 🧠 Axis has been recognised in Chinese Medicine for thousands of years….way before Science 🧫 began researching it.

THE SPLEEN - A Yin Organ that is paired with its Yang partner THE STOMACH. The Spleen has many important functions according to CHINESE MEDICINE PHILOSOPHY ✨ The Spleen TRANSFORMS & TRANSPORTS ingested food and drink to extract QI (FOOD QI) and nutrients which are the basis for the production of our VITAL ENERGY & BLOOD. ✨ The Spleen CONTROLS BLOOD 🩸 keeping blood within the blood vessels. ✨ The Spleen CONTROLS MUSCLES 💪🏻& THE LIMBS keeping them strong. ✨ The Spleen OPENS INTO THE MOUTH 👄 & MANIFESTS IN THE LIPS - When Spleen function is healthy your sense of taste 👅 is strong & your lips moist & rosy. ✨ The Spleen CONTROLS THE RAISING OF QI - meaning our internal organs are held in place and not prolapsing. ✨ The Spleen HOUSES THE THOUGHT 💭 - meaning that the Spleen influences our capacity for thinking 🤔 studying 📚 concentration, focus and memorising. When The Spleen is not functioning as it should the following signs and symptoms will become evident and as ACUPUNCTURISTS & CHINESE MEDICINE Practitioners diagnose SPLEEN DEFICIENCY

In Chinese Medicine Philosophy we believe that our organs hold particular Emotions. The KIDNEYS hold the emotion of FEAR 😧 The LIVER holds ANGER/FRUSTRATION 😡 The LUNGS hold SADNESS/GRIEF ☹️ The HEART holds JOY 🤩 The SPLEEN holds WORRY 😬. Ever noticed following the passing of a loved one that you get bronchitis or a 🫁 infection and if you get scared may loose bladder control? 📸
