What happens when women gather without needing to fix, perform, or hold it all together?
We create space to slow down, connect and remember the wisdom we hold within us.

Join us for our monthly Mothers’ Circle where we explore the world of the womb and all she offers.

Our body speaks in subtle sensations- a longing for rest, stillness, for movement, or nourishment.

The rhythm of our bodies doesn’t always move at the pace of the world around us- a world that seems to be continually speeding up.

If we soften and be still we create an opportunity to hear what our body is trying to tell us.

The womb invites us into this listening as a
space of creation- not only of babies, but also in the sense of creating, gestating, imagining, bringing something new into being.

This month, in our Mothers’ Circle, we will be entering the world of the womb- exploring ways we might deepen our relationship with this part of ourselves.
Join us in the medicine of women gathering, being witnessed, sharing stories and being held. I would love to see you there.

Our wombs hold so much more than we often give them space for. They are physical, hormonal, emotional, energetic and creative centres and our relationship with our womb or our womb space, can influence how we feel in all areas of our life.

This month in the Village Mothers Circle, we’ll gently explore our relationship with the womb through movement, meditation, creating and sharing.
We invite you to slow down, listen inward and see what emerges.

This is the heart of the work I offer women through pregnancy, birth and postpartum- creating space to connect with yourself, your intuition and your own knowing.

Come and join us for The World of the Womb in the Flourish Movement Studio, Woolgoolga.

The womb is the place where life begins to grow, where cycles unfold, and where women can discover an inner connection.

Our next Mothers Circle is an invitation to explore the world of the womb through reflection, creativity and shared experience in a supportive circle of women.

It is important to set yourself up for your postpartum.
To prepare the nourishing meals for the freezer, to have on hand warming herbal teas, to arrange for healing massage and bodywork and to have your favourite remedies on hand. Make plans to call on your friends, family and community to support you, to clean, to cook, to bring meals, to care for your other children. To have your partner plan time to be home.

All of this is so important.

But it won’t make postpartum easy.

Postpartum is not really meant to be easy. It’s a period of transition, a rite of passage and they are not traditionally easy- just ask anyone who has been through one involving intense pain, long periods of deprivation of sleep and food, physical and mental tests of endurance.

Actually, that sounds pretty close to the postpartum experience!

But all that preparation is still important. All the nourishing foods, teas, essential oils, remedies and bodywork will help you to rebuild on many levels. The community of support will allow you to rest, to be more still.

Preparation allows you the space for the rite of passage to unfold. It allows you to be held as you unravel physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and gives you the space to begin to integrate this deep change, as you reform into the new version of you, into the mother this baby needs you to become.

Becoming a mother doesn’t begin with a blank page.
We each hold beliefs, expectations, stories and messages that we’ve gathered throughout our lives. These may be nurturing, or feel like a heavy burden, and some you may not have even noticed.

In our Mothers’ Circle this month, we’ll look at where these views of motherhood come from, how they can influence our experience, and how an awareness around these can help us to let go of what isn’t really ours so we can create space for a view that is more our own.
Whether you’re pregnant or thinking of it, newly postpartum or have been mothering for years, or someone supporting women in this stage of life, you’re warmly welcome.
See the final slide for details.

There was a time when women didn’t mother alone. We lived in villages, close to family, gathered and prepared food together, sharing our wisdom in stories, holding each other’s babies along with each other.

Today, many women move through pregnancy and motherhood in isolation, feeling overwhelmed, having to do it all on their own and all the while feeling they should be calm and on top of things.

This is a season of life that we are not meant to be alone, mothering in isolation.
There is something deeply healing about connecting with other women, sitting in circle with women who understand.

Connection doesn’t remove all the challenges, but it can help you move through them with greater resilience, with an understanding that you are not alone.
Genuine connection during this sacred rite of passage, with its rich contradictions and contrasts, is so nourishing as you navigate this time.

If you’re pregnant, exploring pregnancy, a Mama at any stage or a birth worker, I’d love to welcome you.

Most of us move somewhere between these stories, often without even realising they’re shaping us.
While acknowledging the changes to our sleep pattern, feelings of isolation and the challenges we face raising children the lens we view motherhood through does influences what we notice, what we value, how we interpret the challenging moments, and what kind of growth becomes possible within them.

What story about motherhood have you been told?
Is the motherhood story you hold one you want to keep?

Join us in this month’s Mothers’ Circle at Flourish Movement Studio, Woolgoolga, for an exploration of this topic.

Winter Solstice Blessings in the Southern Hemisphere.

The winter solstice marks a point of transition as we experience the shortest day and longest night of the year, in the Southern Hemisphere, before the days grow longer once again. At this time we are invited to turn inward, to embrace the quiet darkness, rich with possibilities, a spiritual womb where seeds of intention can be sown.

As the earth rests and replenishes during this season, it is a powerful time for deep listening, for holding space within ourselves, for reflecting on our growth, releasing what no longer serves us to make way for new beginnings.

Like the expectant wait of pregnancy, we sense the spirit of what’s to come, nurturing it until the time is ripe for birth.

Happy Summer Solstice to all those in the Northern Hemisphere.
