Big ups to the Big Dog! 🎉
Highly recommend clinic dogs. Even better adopted clinic dogs.

Jack is heading back out to the Wheatbelt this week and we’ve had a bit of movement in the appointment book thanks to the school holidays.

There are a few appointments available across our Wheatbelt clinics.

If the time you want isn’t available, or you’d like an appointment if one opens up, give us a call and we’ll add you to our waitlist. It really helps us gauge demand as we’re looking at adding another practitioner to a few of our towns over the coming weeks.

Pickle juice Bandits rejoice! đŸ„’

Jack’s back working with a few local AFL clubs this weekend, which means we’re entering peak season for:

- ‘Athletes’ discovering they haven’t sprinted since last season
- calves detonating during warm-up
- Carb loading the night prior with 6 pints of gods nectar.
- “tight hammies” that are actually just 5 days of office chair vibes
- Hips moving with all the freedom of a shopping trolley wheel

Your body adapts to whatever you repeatedly do.

If that’s sitting at a desk all week, smashing beers Friday night, then expecting your body to play explosive sport on Saturday
don’t act shocked when something complains.

You don’t need to train like a professional athlete.
#
But if you want to play sport on weekends, your body probably needs at least a few reminders during the week that it’s still human.

Walk. Lift something. Sprint occasionally. Touch your toes once in a while.

Your future hamstrings will appreciate the effort.

On ANZAC Day weekend, Crest Chiro will be closed.

Out of deep, sacred respect, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of those who have served. This day holds personal meaning for us through the many defence force patients we’ve had the privilege to care for, both here and in our time in Townsville.

Lest we forget. 🌿

March and April always ramp up in clinic—and the last few weeks have been no different.

I’ve been having the same conversation over and over with patients, from netballers to AFL athletes (amateur through to professional):
pain doesn’t always mean damage.

That matters.

Because when we understand pain better, we make better decisions—about training, recovery, and treatment.

This week I’m breaking it down in under a minute with a simple pain science series. Everything else is just noise.

Follow along this week, and keep an eye out for our full blog post where I dive deeper into how this applies to real injuries, real athletes, and everyday people.

Education isn’t just for elite sport—it’s how we change the conversation, reduce chronic issues, and help teammates, friends, and family get better outcomes.
