💛 Got a feeling that someone you know or care about isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or they’re just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it.

💛 By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not OK, you can follow our conversation steps to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are OK, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.

💛 If you’re struggling, you don’t have to face it alone.

Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

We want to take a moment to say thank you to all the first responders - paramedics, firefighters, police officers, and emergency dispatchers - who show up when things are at their worst and people are at their most vulnerable.

Your work is often done under pressure, in uncertainty, and without knowing what you’re walking into, yet you keep going anyway. You bring calm in chaos, help in crisis, and care when it matters most. So much of what you do goes unseen or uncelebrated, but it makes a real difference in people’s lives every single day.

Thank you for your courage, your skill, and your commitment to helping others. It doesn’t go unnoticed, even if it’s not always said enough.
🙏❤️

✨Proud moment for our local community!✨

The Bombala Street Surgery is thrilled to have sponsored Cooma athletes competing at the Australian National Championships in Brisbane.

What Is the Nasal Spray Flu Vaccine in NSW? 🤧
The nasal spray flu vaccine in NSW—commonly known as FluMist nasal spray—is an intranasal vaccine delivered through a gentle spray into each nostril rather than a needle.

Unlike traditional injections, this influenza vaccine for children works by stimulating the immune system through the nasal lining, where flu viruses typically enter the body. 🦠

Key Features:
Completely needle-free and painless
Quick administration (seconds per dose)
Designed specifically for children aged 2+
Widely used in global immunisation programs
Although approved in Australia years ago, the nasal spray flu vaccine in Australia is now gaining broader adoption through government-funded programs like NSW’s.

Who Is Eligible for the Free Nasal Flu Vaccine? 👧
Under the NSW flu vaccination program, the free nasal flu vaccine is available for:

Children aged 2, 3, and 4 years
Delivered via:
General practitioners (GPs)
Community pharmacies
Aboriginal medical services
More than 130,000 children across the state are eligible for the nasal spray flu vaccine in NSW.
