Protect yourself against serious illnesses such as pneumonia, bloodstream infections and meningitis with the new pneumococcal vaccine, Capvaxive® (21vPCV).

From 1 July 2026, the National Immunisation Program has changed:
✅ One vaccine instead of two
✅ Simpler protection for eligible adults
You may be eligible for a FREE vaccine if you are:
✔️ 65 years or older
✔️ An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander adult aged 25 years or older
✔️ 18 years or older with certain medical conditions that increase your risk
Vaccination is one of the best ways to help protect yourself from serious pneumococcal disease.
