Dance warm-up, but make it yoga 🧘‍♀️💃

Led the dancers at Dance & Fitness with Shashila Perera practicing for their upcoming dance event: Thakadim Nachoo through a fun yoga warm. Because preparing the body and the mind is what lets you move freely and perform with confidence.

We’re so excited to be the Wellness Partner for this dance event on the 13th of September in Berwick! If you love dance and movement, make sure to come down 💫

We’re proud to support Shashila Perera — such a passionate dancer who’s been helping women move, stay healthy, and feel happy through dance for years ❤️

Things that are chic in pregnancy. What else would you add?

01 — Staying active in small ways, every day🤰🚶‍♀️
A walk. Some yoga. A stretch. A few minutes of movement between everything else.
Consistency > doing one big workout once a week.

02 — Buying clothes that grow WITH you 👗
Pieces that work through pregnancy and postpartum.
Because “wear it for 3 months and never again” isn’t exactly chic or sustainable.

03 — Taking a birth education retreat with your partner 🫶
A whole day. No distractions. No phones.
Just the two of you learning how to work together for the biggest day of your lives.

04 — Investing in YOUR wellbeing
Instead of spending 💰on a baby shower designed to impress everyone else, I invested in something that actually supported me— my body, daily functioning, my birth preparation and transition into motherhood. For me it was seeing a women’s health physio Beyourbest Physio, seeing a chiropractor, getting a prenatal massage to relieve the aches and pains💆‍♀️, prenatal strength training.

05 — Waiting until birth to find out your baby’s gender. 🎀💙
Because sometimes the most exciting reveal is the one that happens earthside.

Most women want to move through labour, use upright positions and feel strong when things get intense.

But you don’t build that strength, mobility and confidence on the day you give birth.

You prepare for it during pregnancy.

Safe, consistent movement can help you:
-Build strength and stamina for labour
-Keep your hips mobile and your body adaptable
-Support baby’s positioning
-Practise the breath, movement and mindset you’ll draw on when labour gets intense

That’s the work we do together every week at Mother’z Yoga — online and in person programs.

Prepare actively. Move confidently. Birth with confidence 🤰

What a beautiful day at the Expo!

We loved welcoming so many wonderful expecting and new families throughout the day.

One of my highlights was running my workshop, “5 Movements for a Stronger Pregnancy & Confident Birth,” and sharing simple, practical ways to help mums feel stronger, more comfortable and more confident for birth.

We also had so much fun with our Spin & Win, and a huge congratulations to the lovely mama who took home our Mother’z Yoga Mum & Baby Wellness Hamper worth $800! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to all the Gippsland mamas and families who stopped by to chat, ask questions, share their stories and support Mother’z Yoga. Also to the lovely team behind the Expo, your hard work and efforts really showed up👏

I’m looking forward to seeing many of you again soon.

🚨 We’re coming to Gippsland! 🚨

Mother’z Yoga will be exhibiting at the Belly, Birth & Beyond Expo.

And that’s not all…

🎤We’ll also be delivering a workshop on Safe Exercise in Pregnancy & Postpartum.

Whether you’re wondering:
✔️ Can I keep exercising while pregnant?
✔️ When is it safe to return after birth?
✔️ What exercises should I avoid?

…this workshop is for you!

If you’re local (or know someone who is), come along, say hello, ask questions, and discover how movement can support a stronger pregnancy, birth and recovery.

Tag a pregnant friend or share this post with someone in Gippsland who shouldn’t miss it.

🏃‍♀️ As busy parents, we say it all the time…

“I don’t have time to exercise.” I’ve said it too.

But what if we stopped seeing movement as time away from our family and started seeing it as an investment for our family?

✅ A stronger body.
✅ More energy.
✅ Better health.
✅ More years to watch our children grow.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to start moving, let this be your sign ✨

Pregnancy can bring excitement... and lot of overthinking too🤯

What if my baby isn’t growing well?
What if I’m not doing enough?
What if something goes wrong?

Instead of letting those thoughts take over, try replacing them with words that support you.

Repeat these affirmations each day and notice how they help you feel more grounded, confident and connected to your pregnancy.

1. I am grateful for this pregnancy.
2. My baby feels safe and nurtured within me.
3. My body is strong, and my baby is healthy.
4. I am proud of myself for growing and nurturing my baby.
5. I am doing my best!

During my third pregnancy, the affirmations I kept coming back to were 2 and 5.

On the days my mind wandered into the “what ifs,” these simple reminders helped bring me back to the present.

Which affirmation resonates with you most? I’d love to know in the comments.
