World Hepatitis Day | 28 July 2026
This year's theme, "Take the next step", encourages action towards eliminating viral hepatitis in Australia.

Community pharmacies play an important role in improving access to healthcare information and supporting patients to engage with preventive health services. World Hepatitis Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness of hepatitis B and hepatitis C, encourage conversations about liver health, and help connect patients with appropriate testing, vaccination and treatment services.

National Pain Week | 26 - 31 July

Chronic pain affects 3.6 million Australians and can have a significant impact on daily life, mental health, sleep, work and relationships. The 2025 National Pain Report found that 87% of people living with chronic pain experience sleep disturbances, while 74% report mental health challenges.

For people in regional and remote areas, including many communities across the NT, access to pain services can be an additional challenge, with cost, geography and transport among the most common barriers to care.

Two years ago YOUR GUILD backed NAPSA and our pharmacy students to have our students added to the Albanese Government's Paid Prac initiative.

From July 2027 students will now be paid by the government for all placement.
