Furlong Soul Connections held its first Women's Weaving Gathering today.

It was so exciting to welcome the 10 courageous Women to the circle.

When women sit in circles. Magic happens.

We form connection to the sharings, to each other, to the fibres of the Earth.

We remembered as the fibres guided the journey back to ourselves.

From a collection of natural fibres to 10 new basket beings.

Ten women who created with love, found pride in their abilities and made memories to keep.

The weather was perfect, the laughter contagious and the Caramel slice didn't last long.

A fantastic day of magical delight.

I love weaving

I love sitting in women's circles connecting with the fibres and each other.

I love the chatter and the silence of women together.

I love the fibres and the story's they hold.

And I would love to introduce other women to this traditional craft.

We gathered for our second
Pencil and Presence workshop.

Winter water flowed through the theme and challenged us all.

Another fantastic group of women, filled with curiosity, laughter and conversation, rose to the invitation. Embodied the flow, relaxed into the play and amazed me with their drawings.

Mother Nature provides for me.

The water that flows through me, is the same that flows in her.

The sight of it settles my soul.

The sound of its flows finds my silence.

The taste touches and nourishs every cell.

And the feel of her icey waters brings in my life.

This is my medicine.

Join me for a relaxed and welcoming morning where we gather as women to explore the simple joy of pencil drawing.

This is not about being artistic, getting it right, or creating a masterpiece. It is about slowing down, noticing the beauty around us, and allowing ourselves the freedom to create.

Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to a creative practice you once loved, you are warmly invited to come as you are.

Together we will:
✏️ Learn simple pencil drawing techniques
✏️ Explore observation and creativity in a supportive environment
✏️ Enjoy mindful moments of quiet focus
✏️ Share connection and conversation with like-minded women
✏️ Leave feeling inspired, grounded, and encouraged
