The day may be over… but how much of it are you still carrying in your body?
The conversations. The decisions. The things left unfinished. The needs you kept meeting that where not your own.

This slow, supported Cat Tail Twist is one of my favorite ways to create that transition between the day and rest.

Stay for 10 easy breaths on each side. Let the bolster hold you, soften your jaw and allow the exhale to lengthen naturally.

You do not have to resolve everything tonight. Put the day down until tomorrow.

Save this for the evenings when the noise of the day follows you home. 🤍

Some mornings, my body wakes before my energy does. ☀️

I just feel… blah.

For me, it can follow a stretch of competing priorities, seven-day work weeks, or simply my body finding a new rhythm through perimenopause.

For you, it may be the accumulation of work, family, caring, organising and carrying tomorrow before today has even begun. Different stories, but the feeling is the same.

🐊 After warming up, I begin in Crocodile Pose, breathing gently into the belly to awaken the body and encourage digestive fire. 🔥

🏹 Then I move into a supported Dhanurasana with a bolster. The gentle pressure through the abdomen, combined with the opening across the front of the body, creates a massage through the belly with each breath.

It grounds me while offering the activation I need, helping to clear the morning fog, gather my attention and bring me back into contact with my centre. ✨

A few things to keep in mind:

• Practise Dhanurasana after warming up, or with a teacher if you’re new to the practice.
• Practise on an empty stomach.
• Stay with Crocodile Pose if backbending or pressure through the abdomen does not feel right for your body today.

Save this for a sluggish morning. 🔖

Which one needs your attention right now: 1, 2 or 3?

💗Tell me below. Save this for the day you need it, or share it with someone who may need the reminder.

There is more beneath each of these lessons than I couldn't fit into one video.

💗 Part of love is forgiveness and letting go. Holding onto pain, resentment and the past weighs heavily on the heart. We need to unburden our hearts so love has more space to move through us.

The people you admire can also be mirrors of your own potential. Yet the mind can quickly meet that possibility with all the reasons you cannot do it.

And “I’ll start tomorrow” is often another way of putting everything and everyone else before yourself.

🧘‍♀️📿Practices such as pranayama, meditation, kriya and japa, a powerful practice for the mind, taught me that not every thought is true.

They taught me how to master my mind instead of allowing fear and old patterns to lead my life.

None of these lessons were easy to learn. That is why we practice, and why it can be so powerful to practice alongside others walking their own path.
