Come dry needle with me

A behind-the-scenes look at how I use dry needling to release tight muscles, reduce pain, and restore movement. It’s precise, effective, and tailored to exactly what your body needs.

You’ll also notice the red circular marks — they’re from cupping and are completely normal. They’re simply a result of increased blood flow to the area and usually fade within a few days.

Different techniques, one goal: helping you move and feel better.

“That’s the way I like it… ah ah ah” 🎶

A little bit of “hurts so good” during treatment — because you know by the end, you’re moving better, feeling lighter, and walking out pain-free

Hi I’m Dr Gemma Simon (Osteopath)

Also a qualified remedial massage therapist, with additional training in dry needling and cupping!

With a background in high-level sport, I’ve learned the body inside out (and how hard it can be to keep it moving well). I’m bubbly, but don’t let that fool you… I’ll find all the tight spots — even the ones you didn’t know were sore 😏

Here to get you moving better, feeling stronger, and back to doing what you love

Cupping + mobilisation = the ultimate combo 🙌

Using cupping to release tight muscles and improve blood flow, then blending it with gentle joint mobilisation to restore movement… it just hits different 😮‍🔥

It’s that deep, satisfying relief where everything starts to loosen, move, and feel so much better.

Your body will thank you after this one 😌

Those circular marks? That’s cupping

Suction gently lifts the skin to boost blood flow, release tight muscles, and help your body reset.

It might look intense — but it feels surprisingly good

That mid-back crack though 😮‍🔥

One of those adjustments you feel and hear — and the relief after? Instant.

This patient came in feeling stiff, restricted, and uncomfortable through the mid thoracic spine… and walked out moving freely, breathing easier, and feeling like a weight had been lifted.

This is a sped-up version of what an osteopathic treatment may look like. In this session, techniques such as dry needling, cupping, massage, and joint mobilisation/stretching were used to help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and restore movement. However, osteopathy isn’t limited to just these methods—there are many other techniques that may be used depending on the patient’s presentation, preferences, and what is safe and appropriate on the day. This can also include HVLA (“cracking” techniques), muscle energy techniques, myofascial work, and more. Every treatment is individualised, with the goal of finding the most effective and comfortable approach for each person.

Sound on🎙️🎙️

This low back crack and mobilisation was a highlight of the session. That “crack” is called joint cavitation — a normal release of gas within the joint as pressure changes.

These techniques are used to improve joint movement, reduce stiffness, ease muscle tension, and help the low back feel freer and more comfortable overall.

Cupping was used in today’s osteo session to help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and support soft tissue recovery.

The red/purple circles left behind are completely normal. They simply show increased blood flow and a release of tension in the tissue.

Darker marks, like in this case, can indicate more chronic tightness or reduced circulation in that area.
