My name is Rhoana Balnaves. I am passionate and dedicated to supporting and educating individuals and their families to live an empowered life where they thrive. I have over 20 years experience as a teacher working in primary and secondary schools and now in kindergartens. I have extensive training and practice in multiple roles including disability, inclusion, trauma, welfare/wellbeing and learning intervention. I worked for three years as education consultant therapist in a clinical setting, in homes and visiting schools, and providing professional development. I have lived experience of parenting and teaching children/young people with a disability and the challenges faced accessing support, navigating different systems, advocating and ensuring their needs are met through a collaborative team approach which includes strategies, accommodations and modifications.
