The laser is the easy part.
Most people collect a few of these over the years and never really look at them. This one is a seborrhoeic keratosis — one of the most common benign skin lesions there is. They turn up on backs, chests and shoulders from around our forties onward.
The treatment itself is quick. The part that actually matters happens before it: establishing what the spot is. Seborrhoeic keratoses are benign — but not everything that looks like one is, and that distinction is the whole reason anything gets assessed before it gets treated.
What recovery actually looks like: treated → scabs → lifts → settles.
Most people can’t properly see their own back. If there’s something back there you’ve only ever been told about, it’s worth having someone look at it — where clinically appropriate.
Honest question: when did anyone last actually look at your back?
