“Exercise isn’t just good for your body it’s great for your mind too. Regular physical activity can reduce stress, improve mood, and boost overall mental wellbeing.

Whether it’s gardening, strolling, dancing, walk, a workout session, or a favourite sport, moving your body is a powerful way to support your mental health.

How do you keep active?

💛 R U OK? Day & World Su***de Prevention Day — 10 September 2026.

Today is a reminder that starting a conversation can make a difference.
The 2026 theme for World Su***de Prevention Day is:
“Changing the Narrative on Su***de”
with the call to action: “Start the Conversation.”

Talking about su***de can feel difficult or uncomfortable. But by creating safe spaces for honest conversations, listening without judgement and letting people know they are not alone, we can help change the narrative.
Today, take a moment to check in with someone.

Ask. Listen. Stay connected.
And remember — supporting someone who is struggling can also affect your own wellbeing. You don't have to carry someone else's pain alone. Seeking support for yourself is important too.
Let's make conversations about mental health and su***de prevention more open, compassionate and stigma-free, today and every day.

💛 Start the conversation. You never know where it might lead.
If you or someone you know needs support:
🚨 Emergency: Call 000 if life is in immediate danger.
📞 Lifeline: Call 13 11 14
📞 Su***de Call Back Service: Call 1300 659 467
🖤 13YARN: Call 13 92 76 — for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crisis support.

Stress and anxiety can feel very similar, and while they’re not the same thing, they can be closely connected.

Stress is usually a response to a specific situation or demand — such as work pressures, relationship difficulties, financial concerns, deadlines, or major life changes.

Anxiety can sometimes develop alongside stress and may continue even when the immediate stressor has passed. For some people, ongoing stress can contribute to feelings of anxiety, while anxiety can also make everyday stress feel more difficult to manage.

Both can be exhausting, and both deserve attention.

Understanding the difference — and recognising how they can be connected — can be a helpful first step toward finding the right support.

Experience in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions
A warm, professional, and client-centred approach
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team

The power of yet is one of the best mindset tools because it can be used in many different situations and it’s simple to implement.
I can’t do this… yet
I don’t know… yet
I’m not good at this… yet

Adding the word ‘yet’ encourages perseverance, motivating us to keep going.

Often we are quick to stop trying because we haven’t succeeded at something as quickly as we wanted to. We describe ourselves as being ‘not good’ at certain skills, rather than allowing ourselves some space and grace to try, to learn and to improve.

The power of yet is a great tool to teach children too! Try to introduce it using past examples which are relevant to them. Such as walking, riding a bike, shoelaces, swimming…

Remember when you couldn’t… at first, so you practiced and kept trying and now you can…
At the moment I’m using the power of yet to help me with a fitness goal.
How could the power of yet help you?
