Did you know we have Japanese Encephalitis vaccinations available at our Geelong West pharmacy?

Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a rare but potentially serious infection of the central nervous system caused by the JE virus. JE virus is transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes and is is endemic throughout most of Asia and parts of the Western Pacific.
The JE virus has also been detected in parts of Australia with a monitoring and surveillance program of the mosquito population in place.

Depending on your work or travel commitments, your doctor or workplace may suggest a Japanese Encephalitis vaccination.

Please note you do not require a prescription for this vaccine, however a private vaccination cost applies to this service.
