Today, Geelong turns 7.

Seven years of early starts, shared coffees, honest conversations and countless kilometres walked side by side.

What began as a simple idea has grown into a community built on connection, support and the belief that no man should have to walk through life alone.

We are incredibly grateful to every person who has joined us, supported us, shared our story or encouraged someone else to take that first step.

The past seven years have shown us just how powerful it can be when men come together, move, talk and simply show up for one another.

We are proud of how far we have come, thankful for the community that continues to carry us forward and excited for everything still ahead.

Here’s to the next chapter, the next conversation and many more walks together.

This Saturday celebrates 7 years of The Man Walk Geelong (This image is from the very first Man Walk in 2019).

What started as a simple idea, walking side by side and creating space for men to connect, has grown into something truly special.

Over the past 7 years, there have been countless Saturday mornings, coffees, conversations, laughs, check-ins and quiet moments that have reminded us why this walk matters.

To every man who has shown up, brought a mate, shared a story, listened without judgement, supported from the sidelines or helped keep this community moving, thank you.

The continued support and growth of The Man Walk Geelong is something we are incredibly grateful for, and we are even more excited about what lies ahead.

For anyone who has been curious about coming along but has not quite taken that first step, this is your sign.

No pressure. No expectations. Just a walk, a coffee and a group of good people.

Lazarus Community Centre is calling for practical winter donations to support people in our community with no fixed address.

Right now, the most needed items are:

🛍️ Reusable shopping bags
🎒 Backpacks
⛺ Tents
🛏️ Sleeping bags and Swags

Drop off donations at:
202 Myers Street, Geelong
Weekdays: 9am to 3pm
Weekends: 10am to 2pm

A simple item from your cupboard, garage or shed could make a freezing night safer, warmer and more manageable for someone doing it tough.
