☕🎥 CONTENT CREW ON LOCATION – ALFIE’S, WAURN PONDS 💛

This morning our Content Creation crew headed out to visit Alfie’s in Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre - and safe to say, we left with full stomachs and big smiles 😍

We were welcomed by the lovely Tiffany, who shared the story behind why Alfies has become such a stalwart of the food court for more than 12 years. From creating a welcoming atmosphere to serving up great food and coffee day after day, it was awesome hearing what’s made the café such a local favourite.

And speaking of coffee… our team may have had a secret weapon on the inside 👀☕ Huge shout out to our very own support worker Ash, who jumped behind the machine and looked after us with coffees and lunch!

Our crew had a great time filming, interviewing and getting another real-world content experience under their belt. Every week we’re so proud seeing their confidence and skills continue to grow.

Big thanks to Tiffany and the whole Alfie’s team for having us - we can’t wait to share the finished video soon! 🎬✨

♻️ BACK TO GDP INDUSTRIES! 🎥💚

Our Content Creation crew headed back out to GDP Industries - and once again, we walked away inspired.

GDP are doing incredible work... not only helping recycle huge amounts of waste and keeping materials out of landfill, but also creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities right here in our community 💛

This time, our presenter Shannon caught up with Lachlan and Greg, who took us behind the scenes and showed us the huge range of products GDP help recycle. From everyday materials through to some things you might never expect, it was fascinating to see how much can be repurposed instead of thrown away 🌏♻️

A huge thank you to Lachlan, Greg and the whole GDP team for welcoming us back and sharing what happens behind the scenes.

And well done to our Content Creation crew - every week they continue to grow in confidence, ask great questions and create content that shines a light on organisations making a real difference in Geelong. 🎬

What a night for our No Limits Geelong Content Creation team! 💙🤍

Tonight we were guests of Kardinia Park, creating videos to highlight the incredible accessibility features around the stadium.
It was so much fun exploring the spaces, learning more about what’s been built, and helping shine a light on the work being done to make GMHBA Stadium more inclusive for everyone.
And to top it all off, our team got tickets to the footy and watched the mighty Cats get the win! 🐱
We’re so grateful - not just for the accessibility itself, but for the fact that Kardinia Park Trust cares enough to build these features, celebrate them, and make sure more people know they’re there!!
Go Cats!!!!

🎬 WHAT A SPECIAL DAY AT GEELONG ARTS CENTRE 💛

Last week, our Content Creation crew headed along to see the incredible Agincourt, created by Back to Back Theatre - and wow… we were absolutely blown away!

Featuring two of our very own No Limits family members - Trevor Ah Hang (who chatted with us afterwards about stepping into the role of the Duke of Salisbury) and Aimee Miller - it was something really special seeing familiar faces up on the big screen.

The film’s recreation of Shakespeare’s famous battle was creative, ambitious and hugely entertaining - and a brilliant reminder that stories become stronger when more voices are included.

Our team also caught up with fellow stars of the film Sarah, Nathan and Jess, who spoke so beautifully about the pride of bringing an all-abilities film to audiences and showing that people with disabilities belong in every creative space - on stage, behind the camera and on screen.

Massive congratulations to Back to Back Theatre for creating such an incredible piece of work - and to Geelong Arts Centre for making it accessible and free for the community to enjoy.

🎟️ Agincourt is screening every half hour in The Open House until June 22... and entry is FREE!

🎥 NEW VIDEO OUT NOW – BUDDIUP 💪💛

Our Content Creation crew headed out to Buddiup Geelong this week to find out what all the excitement is about - and safe to say, we left impressed 🙌

Leading the interviews was our very own Kyal, who sat down with Nathan, founder of Buddiup, to chat about building connection, community, health and mateship through movement and inclusion. Meanwhile… Ben turned investigative journalist and grilled Xavier on the secret Buddiup fitness regime 👀😂

Behind the scenes, Holly kept everything sounding crisp on sound, while Zach took the reins on camera and absolutely nailed it 🎬🔥

What stood out most was the sense of community. Buddiup is doing some incredible work creating opportunities, bringing people together and making fitness accessible and fun.

Huge thanks to Nathan and the team for welcoming us in - we loved telling your story!

🏉 BIG NEWS… OUR NEWEST PROGRAM HAS ARRIVED! 🏉

We are SO excited to officially launch the No Limits Geelong Footy Clinic 💙🤍💛

This isn’t your average clinic… participants will have the chance to train, learn and have a kick with some of our very own home-grown heroes from the Geelong Cats AFLW program!

Led by an incredible coaching team including Cats Co-Captain Nina Morrison, alongside Lilly Pearce, Alexis Gregor, Caitie Tipping, Jasmin Stewart and Alissa Brook, this program is all about:
🏉 Skill development
💛 Building confidence
🤝 Making friends and connecting with teammates
😂 Learning the important things… like quality on-field banter
🍔 Hanging out and sharing lunch with the coaches

This is a relaxed, supportive and inclusive environment designed for participants to have fun, get active and spend time with some amazing role models.

📅 First session – Saturday 27th June
🕚 11am–2pm
💲 No cost to participants
✅ Open to anyone on an NDIS plan

🐴 NEW PROGRAM ALERT – HORSE CARE 🐴

There’s something pretty special about spending time with animals… and we’re so excited to announce our brand new Horse Care Program at No Limits Geelong 💛

This isn’t just horse riding … this is all about slowing down, getting outdoors and learning to care for some incredible animals.

Participants will have the opportunity to:
🌿 Feed and care for horses and ponies
🪮 Learn grooming and stable routines
🐎 Build confidence and connection with animals
☀️ Enjoy time in nature and develop new skills
💛 And eventually… even learn to ride!

Under the guidance of Mel and her amazing team at Equine Assisted Disability Support Services, this program is designed to be welcoming, hands-on and a chance to experience something a little different.

At No Limits Geelong, we believe incredible things happen when people are given opportunities to try new experiences... and we think this one is going to be something really special.

💛 Why we do what we do 💛

Sometimes you get messages that stop you in your tracks.

At No Limits Geelong, we spend a lot of time talking about performances, films, radio shows, sports and programs… but at the heart of everything we do is something much simpler: helping people build confidence, find community and discover things they never thought possible.

Over the last week we’ve received messages from families and guardians that honestly left us speechless.

One mum told us she had happy tears listening to her son speak on our radio show, sharing how much community access now means to him and how far he has come out of his shell.

Another proud nana told us she watched videos of her grandson performing and cried - because she never thought she’d see him stand in front of a crowd and sing with confidence.

And another family shared that after attending an expo with their sons, they finally felt like they had found what they had been searching for.

These messages mean more than any award, article or milestone ever could.

To our participants - thank you for trusting us.

To our families and guardians - thank you for believing in us.

And to our incredible support team and mentors - thank you for creating spaces where people feel safe to try, fail, grow and shine.

We’re only a few months into this journey… but moments like this remind us that we’re building something really special together!

We love seeing participants bring their own ideas to life, and Matty has done an amazing job putting this together with creativity, humour and plenty of personality.
